"Six Things You Never Knew About Russian Pop-Star SASHA!"

Sasha is not only a hit singer, but she’s also a model, a choreographer, and a TV and video producer. Her parents’ love of music was what inspired her to start singing, and her early influences included such stars as Michael Jackson and Madonna. She’s already released two albums, 11 music videos, and has starred in her own hit reality show called Girl Power on MTV Russia. She has been on the cover of magazines like Cosmopolitan, Vogue and even Playboy! Sasha has recently finished up recording of her first US album, and we’re sure that it will cause a stir! Here are six things you should know about Sasha while you wait to hear her music!

* She sold out arenas in Russia and Post Soviet Union prior to embarking on her US career.

* Her departure from Russia was turned into a reality series on MTV Russia, which highlighted her journey of leaving the country and putting together a sold-out stadium performance.

* She designs all her own stage costumes and dresses her musicians and dancers on her taste as well. “I also try to dress my management, but they reject.”

* She was born into a military family of professional pilots. Growing up, her parents brought her music from all over the world which she would later go on to use in her career as influences to revolutionize the music market place in Russia.

* She does head-stands before all recording sessions and performances.

* She was a professional figure skater growing up.

"Grammys 2012: Best and Worst Red Carpet Fashion"

Who is Sasha Gradiva? It doesn't matter that you don't know yet: her Barbie-worthy low-cut pink gown and Terminator-esque machine gun armature painted a more vivid portrait than any three-minute pop song. We're not sure what she was "aiming" for here, but fellow Russian cheap thrills merchant Kira Plastinina is probably intrigued.

Bio

Before Gradiva was featured in Rolling Stone, People Magazine, US Weekly, and other major media outlets, after her memorable media frantic Grammy appearance, she first introduced her electronica infused tunes with a slew of hard-hitting underground performances at New York’s exclusive hipster clubs.  Her debut US single “Wanted” instantly hit #3 on the Billboard charts, launching her first official American tour in 2013.  Having already enjoyed considerable success in Russia, and released two studio albums overseas with 11 concept music videos, Gradiva put on shows across America to crowds of over 300,000, and shared stages with artists including Icona Pop, Emeli Sandé, Cher Lloyd, and Adam Lambert.

The merging of POP & EDM in her hook addictive song writing and hard-hitting performances, combined with powerful vocals and fashion forward avant-garde style, has set her apart in both sound and image.  Dubbed “The Gun Girl” at the Grammys, stories circulated among photographers, art/fashion bloggers and hip tastemakers, which quickly gained her a reputation of a showstopper.  Plaudits for her electronica infused tunes and daring ensembles poured in from major media outlets.

Gradiva's skills, however, extend much farther than causing a stir in the media. She dropped records “Pandemonium” and “I’m on Fire,” both were featured and placed on MTV and charted on dozens of online radio stations.  From there, the snowball continued; in addition to having pop hits coming out of her studio sessions, Gradiva collaborated with Grammy winners Tricky Stewart (Rihanna, Beyoncé), Jack Knight (Jennifer Lopez, Mary J. Blige), and Poet Name Life (Black Eyed Peas).

Gradiva's decision to make her shows a hybrid between Pop and EDM  was road tested at clubs and brought her a new wave of US fans.  A restless performer, she has covered all of the US states and participated in multiple festivals.  Being the true music cosmopolitan and 100-percenter she is, she writes, sings, and produces all of her music.

Keep your eyes open for this fire-blond rocker. The future belongs to Gradiva!
