Bio

I started emceeing at the age of 14.This was some 22 years ago. There was a young cat that went by the name of Ll Cool J that was a couple of years older than me that used to emcee with my cousin who was a D.J. at the time. After hearing LL at a block party I decided I could be an Emcee.i realized that I had a natural gift for this new art form as I realized I could make rhymes in my head and memorize them without writing them down.I know Biggie and Jay z are famous for this but Im talking about 1983.When I rhymed i could see the look on peoples face like I was from another planet because I was really ahead of my time with the subject matter that I used to spit.I honed my skills in one of the most famous hiphop places on the planet and that is the streets of Southside Jamaica Queens,Home to some of the biggest heavy weights in the game.I rocked thousnds of park jams with the likes of The Lostboyz,Onyx, and 50 cent. One time a reporter from a well known magazine asked 50 cent who was the best emcee he ever heard besides himself naturally and to the reporters surprise the name he said was "this cat from my old hood named G.L.T. aka Satchel Page.My name on the streets of Jamaica reached a peek when I recorded a single that featured myself as well as street legends "Neek the Exotic" who did Fakin the funk with legendary producer Large Professor and Royal Flush an underground star in hiphop. The tract was produced by Large professor but was never released but did make its way to the streets. The sixteen bars I spit on that single had people putting me in the same class as Rakim and Nas.After several near deals I put the mic down and started a family got a job and started a couple of Real Estate businesses but this hiphop never got out of my system. When my personal life reached a point where i could afford to slow down and start enjoying life a little I picked the mic back up and realized that as a grown man with real life experiences I was even better at this game than I was years ago.Theres always been an inner voice in me that always told me I was special and a difference maker and music is my vehicle to make a difference.I am Satchel Page I derived the name from the great negro league baseball player who wasn't let into the majors until he was older but even at that advanced age he was still better than his younger counter parts.I feel the same way I was kept out the game this long for a reason,Now here I am , I exist !
