Satelites

I met Allen and Arthur in high school. i met Fred in high school too but that was briefly, at a party, and he wasn't very interesting so i didn't really pay attention to him :) so yea i met Allen and Arthur, and Arthur's group of friends got me into Blink-182. That's when i really started getting into rock and i eventually picked up a guitar. After high school Allen and I starting jamming with different people. Did that for about a year and then Arthur asked to jam so the three of us got together as often as we could. After about a year of fine tuning songs that STILL weren't close to finely tuned, Much Music created a new show called Disband. It's a reality tv program that showcases local talent and tells them if they should disband or stay together. We took a shot at it and sent Much an email. We we're only a 3 piece band without a bass player. I think that intrigued them and we got our own episode. At the end of it all we got Disband-ed :P but it was an awesome experience none the less. And not bad for our first show. That show gave us a pretty good amount of exposure and since that time (Feb.2009) we've been playing gigs at different clubs in downtown Toronto and other private events. We were lucky enough to find a sick bass player in Fred. Not only can he play well, but we all get along like we've known him for years. Great find! Oh, i guess i should tell you how we came up with our name. We wanted it to have something to do with the sky or outer space. Everyone in our circle of friends has a sort of fascination for the sky and space. So i was listening to "I Put On" by Young Jeezy and Kanye's part was on, and one of the lines goes "i'm high as a satellite. i see those flashing lights" and i was like %*&@ man let's call ourselves Satellite! Arthur and Allen were like yea that sounds cool. but then Arthur suggested Satellites, which was better because there's more than one of us. THEN we thought it'd be cool to take out one of the "L"s and make it SateliteS! Thar u have it! i gotta go pee! Peace out!
