Bio

The initial concept of rock band SATELLITE began with the merging of minds of Dublin singer Jools King and Bill Snodgrass guitarist of New York band 'Ouijipig'. The pair met in New York's Lower East side where they soaked up the influences of the East Village music scene and bounced ideas off each other. King returned to Dublin and a long distance writing collaboration between the two
began via volleys of mp3's and 4 track cassettes. Bill soon took a trip to Dublin, where early songs 'Oceans' and 'Fucked Up' were demoed. These sessions sparked the idea of forming the band. They began a search for a bassist and drummer and after several weeks of auditioning
they found Damien, a bassist from Dublin and Chris Teusner an Australian Sticksman. The jamming between the four confirmed a musical synergy and
SATELLITE was born.

After amazing receptions at venues like Whelans, Dorans and Trinity College Dublin the band
recorded a 4 song EP and a live session for the Cormac Battle show at RTE 2FM Radio. The EP went straight on A List Heavy rotation on PhantomRadio and an interview with Neil Austin live on air entailed. Red Fm Cork and 104 FM followed suit.
SATELLITE is now represented by London Music Law Firm Clintons in Covent Garden who represent U2 and Stereophonics.
The band scored the music for a film 'Take It Back' directed by New York Director Viko Nicki which is being premiered at the Brooklyn Film Festival June 13th 2004 and won the audience award at the Festival.
Viko is also directing their music Video for RELENT.

SATELLITE performed their track RELENT on the Sattitude Show Network 2 TV Live February 7th 04.
