Satish Dat Beast was born Ronald Satish Emrit in Boston, Massachusetts. He currently resides in Bowie, Maryland and is represented by Motion Pictures/The Annapolis Agency/Kidz in the Biz which has provided him with the opportunity to be an extra in a Disney movie called “Music High” and most currently an extra in the Warner Brothers film “The Visiting” starring Nicole Kidman which was filmed at Union Station in Washington, D.C. and downtown Baltimore. He is also a member of the Washington, D.C. Chapter of the Recording Academy better known as The Grammys and he met Gloria Estefan, Jimmy Jam, Senator Lamar Alexander (D-Tennessee), Congressman Steny Hoyer (D- Maryland), and Grammys national president Neil Portnow at “The Grammys on The Hill” event on September 7th at The Willard Intercontinental Hotel in downtown D.C.. Satish has a photograph with him and Gloria Estefan and the aforementioned celebrities and/or politicians. Satish also attended The New York Grammys event which honored Mariah Carey, Jay-Z, and Yoko Ono. He has retained Paul Gardner of The Gardner Law Group and Young Lawyers Corporate Productions (YLCP) and Mr. Gardner is seeking an audience for Satish to do a showcase in New York for Sony Music and Entertainment in addition to doing a showcase for Jay-Z and Russell Simmons of Island Def Jam under the Universal Music Group. Satish also has promoters with On The Potomac Productions, Inc. (OTP) in which Skip Kelly and Tom Hart have introduced Satish to LL Cool J aka James Todd Smith. Satish hopes to collaborate with LL Cool J on projects associated with both recording and acting down the line. Satish began his career working as an extra for movies represented by the Bethesda Academy of Performing Arts (BAPA) in Bethesda, MD. He had several parts, the biggest an extra in a movie “Satisfaction” of which Julia Roberts was the star. This movie was filmed in Baltimore, MD. Satish has aspirations to be an actor, in addition to a rapper, who goes triple platinum on his first album. Satish has always wanted to be a rapper, and as a young child, many people told him he could rap, and he made a couple of demos at Paramount’s King’s Dominion in Doswell, VA. However, Satish’s parents insisted that he get an education and not focus on music. Satish has been rapping, however, at a young age and was part of a hip hop duo called “Mr. Hyde and Da Beast,” which met the rapper Guru aka Keith Elam of Gangstarr. Many years after being in many Science and Math Magnets and a graduate of law school, he wants to fulfill his dream of becoming a rapper. He can write poetry in 40 minutes and has written songs for his nephew “Lil C” aka Chris Brooks who is 11 years old and wants to become a rapper. People can not believe how quickly Satish can write these raps; the poetry just flows. Simce he has begun writing, he has had seven CD tracks produced including that by Lil C… “You Know It Don’t Stop.” Satish is a member of TAXI, Inc. in Calabasas, CA and Music Submit through which his music has been submitted to several internet radio stations and other venues. While Satish attended Morehouse College, he was voted by women of Spelman College as one of the 12 sexiest men to be a model on The Men of Morehouse Calendar 1996. Satish can rhyme like no other. He keeps his lyrics clean and likes raps from the “old school.” Satish has also been profiled as an artist on
