Stillwater is where the wild things are and the sounds from Library Lawn early this month are evidence.
Local folk act Satori, a trio of OSU students, performed original songs “Home” and “Throw the Mind Back” under the shade of the slackline trees for “on.”
The pace of the band is far from that relaxed though.
The trio recorded an album in a single day last December with Steve Foust, a sound engineer at the Seretean Center, and is about to release the self-titled CD after Thanksgiving.
Although they play together, the three have different influences.
Aaron Hale praises psychedelic artists, Blake Parks has a bluegrass background and Daniel Clutter says his mother’s accordion got him interested in music.
But where the music came from isn’t that important because it’s definitely sounding great right now. - The Daily O'Collegian
