At the heart of Saturday Moon is a deep love for Music and Rhythm. A band comprised of 3 dudes and a DIVA. Bringing to the US Music scene a convergence of South and Central American, African and and Indian Beats and Poly Rhythms with Soulful Gospel, Jazz, and House Inspired Vocals.
Ama Chandra - The Red Hot Heart of Saturday Moon. Ama comes from a strong musical background of classically trained vocals, Gospel roots, and over ten years experience melding traditional Brazilian Songs with American Soul. "Her voice is CD Clear." Known to bring a room to complete silence in awe of the richness and power of her voice. At 6ft tall this Statuesqe Goddess radiates presence from the moment she walks into the room and onto the stage.
Backed by a band of percussionist and guitar who have played with a virtual who's who in world beat and percussion. The synergy and heat created is smooth and invigorating!
Though new on the scene the professionalism and artistry of Saturday Moon sets them in a league of of their own.
