Bio

Saucytown is a destination at the crossroads of the American experience. Planted in Portland, OR, but rooted from coast to coast, the music of Saucytown is what happens when a multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter crosses paths with a progressively calculative bassist, an electric guitarist who blends ‘70’s funk with modern alternative country, and a drummer with an improvisational jazz background.

Saucytown is a natural extension of front-man Jameson Wandling’s solo venture, “Front Street.” After playing on several solo-acoustic bills alongside bassist Nicholas Von Pless, the two joined up with Brandon Edwards at the start of 2012 and established a solid vocal foundation. Initially an acoustic three-piece, they quickly added a drummer and began playing shows that summer. By the end of 2012, the band had released its first double A-side single, “Don’t Disagree” and “Down At The Station.”

At the start of 2013, the band found itself in a transitional period. In need of a full-time drummer, Saucytown welcomed Zach Podell-Eberhardt, who happened to see the band play one of its last shows of 2012. His addition to the line-up instantly solidified the core unit of Saucytown.

At the start of spring, 2013, the band released its teaser EP, “Introducing Saucytown,” as a precursor to its imminent full-length debut. Continuing to play locally, the band is gaining momentum and preparing for a busy summer. Interested in playing premier local venues and upcoming festivals in the greater Pacific Northwest, Saucytown is ready to share in a mutually rewarding experience with you and yours.
