Bio

Saul Brooks began playing music at the age of two when his stepfather taught him to play drums. At age four, he was playing drums in church, and throughout his youth his stepfather and family encouraged his musical abilities as much as possible. He has fond memories of playing with his stepfather and his band in an old garage up in Hampton, TN. At age fourteen his mother bought him his first real guitar, and he hasn’t looked back since. He had no idea that he could he sing.
Quotes Saul, ”One day I just sat down on the couch and starting humming along to a song and thought ‘well let’s see if I can really sing’.” (As we all know, he can!). He remembers being too shy to sing in front of any one, so he uploaded a ton of videos of himself singing on youtube. His sister found them and showed his family and that’s when the ride started. Under the careful tutelage of his stepfather, Saul began playing the guitar and singing with his stepfather’s band.
His first live performance was at his High School talent show, where he won first place. After that, he began playing shows opening for his close friend and mentor country singer Cody McCarver, (formerly of Confederate Railroad) and was selected to tryout for American Idol. He has also opened for acts such as Lee Brice, Saving Able, and Tyler Farr. Recently, he played a role in the film Vengeance Without Mercy by filmmaker Christopher Forbes (release date Spring 2013) and is currently producing two music videos for songs on his upcoming CD “Bring Your Friends” to be released in May 2013.
