Saul & Reid

Returning to the prairies from a four-year musical venture in Vancouver, Saul & Reid bring home a fresh wild and woodsy sound. An entangling rush of moody bass lines are cut with melodies that pull you to the edge of your seat and then wind around you - in ear-worm delight. 

Much of the brilliance that these two have conjured up in their 14 years of knowing each other would have never happened had Saul not cheated on his test to get into the same grade 3 class as Reid. (Don't tell his Mom) The rest is history. The adventures of elementary school became the soundtrack of their first EP "Winstead". After selling their first 100 copies at high school dances, Besbourough Park concerts, and opening gigs at Louis, they were hooked, and so were their fans. Driven by an insatiable desire to follow in the footsteps of influences like ed Sheeran, Mother Mother, We Are City, they pulled up their prairie roots and moved to Vancouver. Whether lugging bass heads and guitar amps on city buses to get to every open stage they could, or performing at Simon Fraser University's Launch Festival, they were on a mission to push the boundaries of alternative rock to the city's limits and then beyond. And it worked! Producer and cinematographer, Darrell Hacket liked what he heard and pulled together his production team to produce Saul & Reid's first music video for their original song, "Early" released in 2016 in Vancouver. 

From lost innocence of loving, being dumped, and recovering, only to start again, Saul & Reid have found a way to make music with it all.
