Lyrics

In Your Heart

Written By: Jim St. James

ONE TIME IN MY LIFE TIME
I WALKED A LONELY ROAD
GAZING AT THE CROSSROADS
LOOKIN' FOR MY SOUL
SO I WENT OUT SEARCHIN' TO FILL THE EMPTY SPACE
UP AND DOWN AROUND AND DOWN THE ROAD TO THE SAME PLACE

THEN SUDDENLY I BEGAN TO SEE, I WAS THERE RIGHT FROM THE START
I FOUND MY PLACE IN YOUR HEART

I CLIMBED THE MOUNTAINS, WALKED THE FOREIGN LANDS
WORE A THOUSAND FACES TRYIN' TO UNDERSTAND
MENTALLY DECIPHERED WHAT'S WRITTEN IN THE BOOKS
SHOOK THE TREES OF PHILOSOPHIES WITHOUT A SECOND LOOK

THEN SUDDENLY I BEGAN TO SEE I WAS THERE RIGHT FROM THE START
I FOUND MY PLACE IN YOUR HEART

IF I LIVE TO SEE ONE HUNDRED, I'LL STILL THANK THE SKIES ABOVE
FOR ALL THE PRECIOUS RICHES I'VE COME TO KNOW AS LOVE

BUT THERE NOT POSSESSIONS OR SOME STATUS QUO
IT'S NOT HOW MUCH I MAKE A YEAR, IT'S SURE NOT WHO I OWE
IT'S NOT THE CAR I'M DRIVIN'
THE HOUSE I LONGED TO OWN
IT'S SHARING LIFE TOGETHER THAT'S WORTH ITS WEIGHT IN GOLD

CAUSE SUDDENLY I BEGAN TO SEE, I WAS THERE RIGHT FROM THE START
I FOUND MY PLACE IN YOUR HEART
I FOUND MY PLACE IN YOUR HEART

Everybody You Ever Loved

Written By: Vic Saul

Verse One:
Will anyone remember
How we ran into a storm
On that day in December
Just before the dawn

Verse Two:
And as I sit here watching dolphins
I can't hold back the tears
Is it the beauty of the moment
Or the passing of the years?

Pre Chorus:
But I guess it doesn't matter
It only means that much to me
For the love we shared
Can't be compared
Is now a part of me

Chorus:
Everybody you ever loved
Will be there waiting for you
To hold your hand
To comfort you
To light your way
To light your way

Verse Three:
You never saw the sunrise
On the Gulf of Mexico
Or the moonshine on the mountains
In the Colorado snow

Pre Chorus:
But I guess it doesn't matter
It only means that much to me
For the love we shared
Can't be compared
Is now a part of me

Chorus:
Everybody you ever loved
Will be there waiting for you
To hold your hand
To comfort you
To light your way
To light your way

Verse Four:
And you will surely see me
As I walk into the light
Like nothing ever happened
And everything's alright

Chorus:
Everybody you ever loved
Will be there waiting for you
To hold your hand
To comfort you
To light your way
To light your way

Caroline

Written By: Jim St. James

SOMETIMES I THINK TO MYSELF
THAT I'M BETTER OFF ALONE
THERE'S ONLY SO MUCH HEART INSIDE TO BREAK
BUT I WAS DREAMING LATE LAST NIGHT
AND YOU WERE BY MY SIDE
BECKONING MY SOUL INTO YOUR LIGHT

PLEASE BE MINE CAROLINE
I'LL BE THERE FOR YOU IF YOU WANT ME TOO
I'LL BE YOUR STAR, YOUR SHINING KNIGHT
I WOULD WALK ON THE SUN
THROUGH THE HIGHEST FLAMES
TO DANCE WITH YOU IN THE SUMMER RAIN
I'M RIGHT HERE JUST OPEN UP YOUR EYES
CAROLINE

SHAKING THE SANDMAN OUT
AS I PUT MY COFFEE ON
ANOTHER DAY OF WISHING YOU WERE HERE
AND I CAN'T SEEM TO HELP MYSELF
FROM FEELING QUITE LIKE THIS
AND YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW THAT I EXIST

PLEASE BE MINE, CAROLINE
I'LL BE THERE FOR YOU IF YOU WANT ME TOO
I'LL BE YOUR STAR YOUR SHINING KNIGHT
I WOULD WALK ON THE SUN THROUGH THE HIGHEST FLAMES
TO DANCE WITH YOU IN THE SUMMER RAIN
I'M RIGHT HERE JUST OPEN UP YOUR EYES
CAROLINE
