"Concert Review: Savannah King"

Savannah King is one of the most talented up-and-coming

artists the Buffalo music scene has to offer. Her sound could

best be described as primarily folk, with a bit of jazz and soul

thrown in for good measure, and her smoky voice gives her

music an extra bit of warmth. - John Hugar - Buffablog.com

"Local musician channels Joni Mitchell on Hello Giggles"

HelloGiggles. . . The website founded by actress/musician Zooey Deschanel, producer Sophia Rossi and writer/Internet sensation Molly McAleer is described as the ultimate entertainment destination for smart, independent and creative females. Most recently, Buffalo native Savannah King was feature. . . with Joni Mitchell’s “Big Yellow Taxi.” - Kathryn Przybyla - Buffalo.com

"Diverse"

“ If I had to pick one word to describe King it would easily be diverse.

Take “Oh My Eyes” for example, the intro lures you in with its almost dark

melodic presence; the verses take an interestingly syncopated rhythm.

The chorus brings it all home, musically as well as lyrically. Her

cover list ranges from “War Pigs” by Black Sabbath to “E.T.” by Katy

Perry, to the timeless “Thriller” by Michael Jackson. Musicality. It’s missing, but

not on this night. Cahoone and King will perform. . . “

"The ethereal Savannah King"

“The ethereal Savannah King . . . has the sound of Lilith Fair of

the 90's. A style all her own with elements of Fiona Apple, and

Sarah McLachlan amongst others. Refreshing strong vocals

with a great acoustic sound.” - NWM Photography

"Savannah King "She Sends Her Love" CD Review"

Savannah’s lyrics contain a lot of these crimson elements and did induce images of this kind in my mind as I listened to her music. . . The lyrics speak of aggression and the end result of this anger is a mouth full of red blood. This lyric caught my open ears, Optimist with an Iron Fist, great line. - Joey Tell

"Acoustic Version of Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs”": Savannah King"

A solid rendition, and nothing too fancy, but it’s her vocals that really

stand out. More than simply changing the emotional content by lending

a softer touch to a pretty aggressive tune. . . Savannah’s voice has a slightly

throaty quality to it which recalls – dare I say it – Sarah McLachlan. - Joe

Its far too early to tell you what I hope to accomplish in my lifetime. I can tell you that I aspire to never stop experimenting, finding new directions, meeting new people, and learning. I thoroughly believe that you can learn something from every single person you meet. Through my songwriting, I am a storyteller not just my stories, but the stories of the forgotten . . . because there are so many stories to tell. Savannah King
