Biography

Save The Bride is an American progressive hardcore band from Dover, Delaware, formed in August of 2008. The group started out as four friends that had a passion to create powerful music that their listeners could connect with. They began writing music, drawing inspiration from artists such as Killswitch Engage, Oh Sleeper, August Burns Red, Underoath, and Norma Jean and came up with an original sound of their own. STB has been a driving force in their local scene, as they have performed with some of today's national acts such as This Or The Apocalypse, Texas In July, I The Breather, Circus Circus, Corpus Christi and countless others.
In August of 2009, STB released their first self-titled album, recorded at Kandid Productions in Maryland. They spent their time playing shows in and out of state on the weekends to push the album and received a tremendous response. Their hit songs "Trapped Inside the Mind of a Monster" and "Emergency Exit" both continue to be a crowd favorite. In 2010, STB re-released songs from their self-titled album, with the addition of two new tracks, as an EP on iTunes entitled "Cellar Door." At the same time, the group released a new single entitled "The Devil's In The Details," which they recorded at Pendlwood studios in Ohio. STB plans to release a full length record in the future as they bring their music to a greater scale. The band continues to grow as they continually bring new material to the table. Their music is infectious, drawing in listeners with catchy hooks, melodic verses, and driving breakdowns, all to a danceable beat.
Save The Bride shows no signs of stopping and credits all their talent and success to Jesus Christ. They hope to be a light for Jesus in a scene that is plagued by messages of violence and hatred and turn it around to bring a message of peace and love through Christ.

Lyrics

Emergency Exit

Written By: Save The Bride

Time and time again
This situation's haunting you
And desperation sinks in
As your heartbeat picks up

Standing at the threshold of an end
As the gun waits patiently
With your finger on the trigger
You could end it all right here

But can you hear me begging
And pleading for you to reconsider?

This is not your end
Stop at your exit's door
And take the time to really think
About what you've lived for

But can you hear me begging
And pleading for you to reconsider?

This is not your end

And know that in the end
It's me that's waiting

I Don't Need a DeLorean

Written By: Save The Bride

I wake up in the night
Come closer, come closer
I walk toward the light in his eye
Come closer, come closer
The world is going to end
Come into the future
Together we'll fix everything

Frank tells me how to save the world
One building at a time

As you lie there sleeping
I'm saving the world
What makes you think I'm not a superhero?
I'm doing this for you
All for you

Burn everything
Burn it to the ground

Emerging from the cellar door
We don't see the car coming
It was all meant to be more beautiful
I promise you, I'll fix this
As the sky opens up
To swallow the world
I know my destiny
Is coming in the air
I'll sacrifice it all
Just to know you're smiling
I'll go back to the beginning again

As you lie there sleeping
I'm saving the world
What makes you think I'm not a superhero?
I'm doing this for you
All for you

The world shakes with the crash of a turbine
I'm so sorry, but you'll never know my name
I laugh and think about how beautiful the world can be
And I close my eyes, as the world ends for me

Till Daybreak (Your Face)

Written By: Save The Bride

Why do you fear
What gets you through the night?
Running away from all that is safe
Chasing the man in the dark
Keeps you from lying here with me
The secrets in the attic crash
Through the ceiling, screaming
And crying for security

You haunt the ghost with your name
Searching for the face that was lost at sea
You find the lie you once called your life
The choir is waiting; will you ever sing again?

It's been far too long since I've felt your touch
If timing is everything, then pry it from my cold, dead hands
Your voice pounds like a fist, buried in my chest
If timing is everything, then pry it from my cold, dead hands

It's been far too long since I've felt your touch
Your voice pounds like a fist, buried in my chest
When the sun sets in these hills
You'll be on your way home
Will you stay and watch it set with me?

You haunt the ghost with your name
Searching for the face that was lost at sea
You find the lie you once called your life
The choir is waiting; will you ever sing again?

If timing is everything, then pry it from my cold, dead hands
