Bio

Saving Abel has taken the next step on the road to success by accepting a recording contract with producer Skidd Mills and hiring Nick Farrera to handle the bands legal matters.
Mills and Farrera, both of whom are accomplished figures in the music business, will provide the aspiring musicians with valuable assistance and guidance in their quest for a career in music. Mills has worked with several well-known artists, including Saliva, ZZ Top, Robert Cray, and Hole, while Farrera has served as legal representation for John Mayer, Creed, Maroon 5, and countless others. It seems like a promising way to launch a successful musical career.
Saving Abel was founded in late 2004 when guitarist Jason Null and vocalist Jared Weeks met at a concert in Memphis. Null, ex-Singbay front man, and Weeks began writing songs and by early 2005 they were in the studio recording an acoustic demo under the name Shade of Grace. The demo would earn them the opportunity they had been hoping for and the recognition they deserved.
Upon hearing the demo, Mills took interest and proposed a recording contract, and, once the initial stages of the project had begun, it was time to add depth to the bands roster. After nearly six months of searching, mutual friend and drummer Blake Dixon joined the group and began putting drum tracks with the songs. Dixons beats quickly became an essential element in the bands sound. Still sensing that something was missing, Mills discovered and recruited guitarist Scott Bartlett to add another dimension to the bands structure. His talented guitar would add a new, blues-driven flavor of southern rock to the groups evolving sound. The newest member, bassist Daniel Dwight, adds yet another layer of tone and style to the groups complexion. Dwight joins the team after previously touring with 3 Doors Down and Shinedown as a member of The Fairwell.
By blending the individual talents and diverse styles of these five artists, Saving Abel emerges with a unique and original sound, a polished combination of southern and alternative rock.
