Boston’s Savin iLL boasts an outrageously entertaining fusion of hip-hop, funk, soul and rock using live instruments. The sound will strike you with familiarity while at the same time surprise you with how unique and original it all sounds.

Savin iLL breaks down the borders between different genres to create a style all its own. Their original style of music draws from old school hip-hop, funk and soul and “modern exploratory rock music” to mold its sound – one that is instantly recognizable as Savin iLL.

Accomplishments & The Future

Savin iLL has opened three times for – and collaborated with – Cappadonna of the Wu Tang Clan as well as opening for Inspectah Deck, also from Wu Tang Clan, and old school legend Kool G Rap. Savin iLL’s “Homesick” took home the 2005 Great American Song Honor Award. The band was nominated for best live act at the Boston Hip Hop Awards and nabbed a glowing review from the arts editor at Boston College. Savin iLL boasts a huge fan base for an indie act, with over 56,000 friends on MySpace, and has performed all over New England and New York. Savin iLL is also currently working with A&R Select, the leading independent A&R firm in Hollywood, CA.

Following completion of an upcoming sophomore release, Savin iLL has their sights set on hitting the road to promote the new album and gigs are scheduled even now.
