Bio

Savino are: Jonathan, Joe Toal, Laura Borealis and John Starr. The band formed just over two years ago in 2004 from the collective minds of Jonathan and Joe. The two recruited bass player and singer Laura and finished the line up with drummer John. Over the last two years the band have recorded 2 E.P's. The first entitled simply "E.P" and the second their latest offering "Metaphors". Both have brought the band a lot of fans and increasing interest from all area's of the music scene in Dublin. Savino have played gigs all over Ireland but mostly have concentrated on the Dublin Scene, but we have plans to play more gigs through out the country.

At the moment the band are releasing their debut track "Country Miles" for Radio and Download only. Savino latest E.P is available via their website (www.myspace.com/savinoireland) for free. Although the band are busying themselves with this release, gigging and rehearsing; they are also readying themselves to record their next batch of material which will make up their next E.P which is as of yet untitled.

The four hail from different background and also different counties! Both Jonathan and Laura are from Dublin, Joe is from Louth and John is from Meath. All though the geographical distance is large the band still make every effort to rehearse in Dublin every week and to gig somewhere in the country once a week. All their live events are listed on their website. The band also keep up a blog section to keep in touch with their fan base.

The band have been compared to anything from; The Pixies, Talking Heads, Death Cab for Cutie, Coldplay.

There radio and download only single was playlisted on a few of the bigger indie stations and was we recived by the media.
