SAVON

Savon aka Ninja Skroll /aka Shawn Walden was born in Camden but raised in Lindenwold, NJ. He has been writing and producing tracks for himself and other groups since 1990. His is an accomplished R&B / Hip Hop artist whose music fits the age groups of 18 - 35 but has influenced older crowds as well. Savon is in his mid 20's and has a different variety of music for all types of audiences. His educational background includes schooling at Pine Hill High School in New Jersey. He is a well polished R&B Artist with ties to Hip Hop. His music industry experience is very impressive as both an artist and producer for known rappers. He started out with his own Rap Group called the African Posse. As time went on, members of the group went their seperate ways and he began a solo career under the name XPostive. he soon became one of the original hardcore rappers to hit the streets in the early 80's. He created a rap style similiar to a group he would soon have ties to, The Gravediggaz. XPositive was well known throughout South Jersey and differents parts of Philadelphia, PA. Over time, he soon took a serious interest in the production end of the business. Through his production reputation, he was soon noticed by a Rap Group Called The Ninjaz, who were affiliated with the Rap Group, The Wu Tang Clan. Soon he became their main producer being giving the name Ninja Skroll by Wu Tang Member Buddha Monk. Buddha Monk is one of the leaders of the Wu Tang Clans Arsonele and well connected in the industry. He would soon perform in many clubs and venues with the group and Buddha Monk. These included shows in New York, Philadelphia, New Jersey, and many more. Savon was connected in the industry and produced a few albums up until the early 90's. As time went on, he would soon exercise his production skills even more. At this time, he decided to form his own Production Company called Black Dred and his own Label called Volacano Enterprises. This included branching out to up and coming new artists and producers such as: Doonie King ( producer ), Divine (artist ), D-Rec (artist), Killa E and Malik ( artists ), The Blunted Crew ( artists ), Larz (artist ), and Angels With Dirty Faces. As his local popularity became to form, Keith Walker of Jay Walkin Productions in Camden, NJ approached him to do some beats for his artists. Eventually, he would end up writing, producing, arranging and composing his own material for his first Album, " Back At It Again. In 2003, he sought representation and management through Tone Central Management and aquired the services of The Other Tony Bennett ( Artist Management Company, licensed in Philadelphia, PA.
