Saya – Addicted to Bass (French Version) – This French Canadian singer is one of those artists who will either be incredibly famous within a year or destined to be underground forever. Either way, I’m addicted to her first single Addicted to Bass. It mixes the super-charged vibe of electro house from the early 90s, which is on the verge of making a come-back. Honestly, she’s a few years too soon, but that could be a good thing. The French version has more vigor in it, so hear that one on the show tonight. Bio
Saya was always fascinated by fashion and music. As a child she took singing and piano lessons and was deeply influenced later by 80's and 90's music. The artist also started at an early age to design her own clothes. In 2003 Saya decided to start writing her own songs. She helped put together a few bands before forming Girl Man Girl. The Trio played cover songs from the 50’s to today in many clubs and private parties throughout Quebec with great success. It is while singing her favorite songs with Girl Man Girl that Saya developed her vocal skills.
Taking care of business…
As a sideline, Saya worked with RNDM Productions. They produced events and managed many artists. This provided her with the other aspect of the musical industry.
Always on the move!
She collaborates with numerous singers and musicians of the Montreal Urban scene. She attracted attention from places as far as Toronto, US and Europe. Being a true stage beast, Saya offers live performances full of energy that leaves no one indifferent.
