"Saya Showcases her versatility on Wet Dreams"

Versatility isn’t an easy trait for more experienced artists to demonstrate, much less a new artist. Often we see bands or singers stick to a sound they’re comfortable with and excel in, too afraid to take risks that might not pay off. 20-year-old Saya doesn’t have this problem. From her debut single “Wet Dreams,” it’s clear that she embraces the unconventional and her material succeeds because of this confidence.

The track doesn’t adhere to one traditional genre. Instead, she meticulously switches up her delivery style throughout the song. One minute she’s singing a pop melody, the next she’s using a hip-hop rhyme scheme. It doesn’t sound like it should work but in Saya’s hands it does, making for one catchy, and impressive debut. - Pigeons and Planes

"Saya - Cherry Bomb"

Saya is the kind of artist who creates music of pure pleasure. On her debut, “Wet Dream”, the 21-year-old played artfully with genre, blending polished pop glamour with spoken word sass. That track went (deservedly) straight to the top of Spotify’s Viral Global Chart – testament to the wide appeal of Saya’s off-beat 70’s aesthetic and hybrid sound.

Now, with her follow up “Cherry Bomb” (premiering here on Wonderland exclusively), a track Saya describes as “a trip through an erotic fantasy” she delivers a hypnotic vocal and a killer hook that’ll be reverberating around your head for the foreseeable future. Suffice to say, we can’t wait to see where she goes next. - Wonderland Magazine

"Saya's Slick Debut"

Hailing from Toronto, Saya is a new act to be looking out for. Her debut 'Wet Dreams' is a surprising combination of pop melodies, hip-hop rhythms schemes, and slick electronic production. With versatile vocals that switch from singing to speak-singing, Saya's lyrics are both cheeky yet charming. - The 405
