"Bodog Starts with a Bang!"

"The show kicked off with a set by SCARLET ANDROGYNY; though young, this band had a very confident lead singer with a very mature and wide ranged vocal talent. Ballad-like melodies backed by the female caress of keys and an overall hard sound opened this night's battle of the south with a bang."
- Christine Brown

"Scarlet Androgyny w/ wednesday 13"

looked and sounded a lot like a pre-fame Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids.

Bio

Scarlet Androgyny was formed in Atlanta, GA by Ginger and Daisy in 2003. It wasn't until about 2004 that the band started creating music. Ginger was living in another state when Hazel and Ivy were brought into the picture.
Our sound is something we never really went searching for. We wanted to put less emphasis on the guitar and put more on keyboards and bass. We've always been concerned with the content in the lyrics. Should a songwriter have something great too, the musicians will pick up on that message and write accordingly.. although, this isn't always the formula. During the time Ginger was gone, he would visit, and we would work on songs with him as well as Daisy. So we weren't starting from scratch by any means when he arrived. Shortly after Ginger moved back to Atlanta, Valera was added to the line-up as the new keyboardist. Over time we have been given a broad range of comparisons from "Bauhaus with a twist of Filter" to "HIM with a touch of Marilyn Manson". We like to leave it for the listeners to decide.
