Since launching Scarlet (February 2014) the band have worked with producers Jon Withnall, (Coldplay’s Parachutes, A Rush Of Blood To The Head, and X&Y) Michael Johnson (Joy Division, Pink Floyd, New Order, Stone Roses) and have recently worked with Al Groves (Bring Me The Horizon, CAST) on their debut album to be released in the UK and Japan (Due for release Oct 2016).

In their first year together (2014), Scarlet supported Bob Geldof and the Boomtown Rats, and played the huge London based festivals, Secret Garden Party, and Hop Farm Festival in July 2014. Scarlet also secured places supporting Neon Waltz, Pulled Apart By Horses, a set at Liverpools Concert For Gaza, and a slot supporting The Struts.

In 2015, the 4 piece secured slots playing DIY’s ‘breaking out’ night at Liverpool music week festival, supported Swervedriver, Black Honey, Kagoule and released their debut single ‘Anyway’ (6th April 2015) and the bands debut EP ‘// FISHES’ (4th May) which made it into specialist record shops, Probe Records and Dig Vinyl in Liverpool’s city centre.

‘Anyway’ has been included in BBC Radio 6’s ‘Fresh Faves’ Batch 146 -  http://freshonthenet.co.uk/2015/03/faves146/

‘Unsurprisingly, a stunning piece of work’ - The John Peel centre on ‘Anyway’

The band won two competitions, one of which, was to work with crowd funding specialists ‘Pledge Music’ and ‘Juxdit’ in association with Liverpool Sound City festival, to create a Pledge Music campaign to fund the release of their next record and secured themselves a slot playing the delegates conference at Liverpool Sound City festival 2015.

They hit the 50% mark on their pledge music campaign just 6 days into the 60 day campaign and successfully reached their target and unlocked the money to make their next record

At the end of 2015, Scarlet secured support from Marshall Amplifiers who chose their new demo 'Heavy' to be a part of their Richer Unsigned 'Best unsigned bands' playlist, which meant the song was played in every Richer Sounds music store up and down the country for a month and featured in Q Magazine!

Scarlet kicked off 2016 by playing the O2 academy next to fellow underground band PINS, and have lined up huge national and international gigs across the year, including slots in front of 50,000 people at Tbisili festival (Georgia), ‘We Luv Festival’ (Aintree racecourse alongside acts such as UB40, Scouting For Girls, Example and many more) and Tramlines Festival (Sheffield) amongst many others.

The band have released their debut album 'EFFIGY' produced by Al Groves (Bring Me The Horizon) in the UK, and have managed to secure a licensing deal in Japan for the album with Vinyl Junkie Records (blossoms, swim deep, the wombats) whilst maintaining a steadily growing organic fan base with continuous support from north west music scene fanatics, as well as branching out and gaining support from BBCintroducing, BBC Radio 6, and other bands further afield.

The band have also received direct endorsements for their music from Guy Garvey (Elbow) and support from The Vaccines and Sir Bob Geldof.
