Bio
For the Austin based band, Scarlet’s Eyes, music should do two things: make you move, and make you feel. Singer Eve Springer and Keyboardist Chad Landry formed the group after watching endless shoegazers and deciding what the scene needed was a band that engaged their audience - completely. Ben Post brought his 80s new wave inspired bass, Jason Largent added his impeccable guitar, and, after a series of lineup changes that would make Spinal Tap proud, Leslie King added her Latin inspired drums to the mix.
What did this make?
Scarlet’s Eyes music is a groove oriented mix of new wave and alternative. It is always interesting; always compelling. One fan described it as Rush meets Linda Ronstadt meets Romeo Void. Another, simply, Metrowave! Every song pulls you in with compelling lyrics and unusual structural changes. Again, music should make you move and make you feel.
Live, the band really shines. They build a show! Eve creates a dramatic scene for each song and it’s played out onstage. Props; costume changes; lighting; it is all used to build the right atmosphere to draw the audience into the sonic world that the band creates.
Music should make you move and make you feel. That’s Scarlet’s Eyes.
