Scarlett Classic

Scarlett Classic

 Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA
BandRockMetal

Scarlett Classic's music is a mixture of storytelling and progressive songwriting. Blending epic structured songs with catchy vocal hooks and guitar riffs, the band has been called, 'a breath of fresh air from a stagnant genre. When Scarlett Classic hits the stage, it's an immovable force.

Biography

Scarlett Classic was formed in the fall of 2005 by Bob Baxter, Jeremy Graham, Josh Jernigan, Mikey Dunn and Will Mitchell. They came together from many years of playing in various bands together. Each member realizing that this line-up had something all previous incarnations of the band were lacking. The members that make up Scarlett Classic had a purpose. Jeremy and Bob planted the seeds of a story that immersed the band's concept. From this idea Jeremy created a universe and a story that the rest of Scarlett Classic has made a pact to tell. Since the conception of Scarlett Classic, the group has gone through many changes and evolved to the band it is today. After changes and delays; Bob is back from a year in Iraq, Josh and Mikey have honed in and worked to perfect their skills in Bob's absence, Jeremiah with the groups blessing stepped down from a performing member to focus on writing the story/lyrics, and Steven Qualls has stepped up fill out the band's lineup. The group is focused and ready to make men and women proud that their children and future children will be around for the Scarlett Classic era.

The music of Scarlett Classic is a progressive mixture of classic storytelling and musical sweeps that will take a listener to another place. Following in the vein of the great storytellers in music, Scarlett Classic's music tells the rise and fall of a man code named Chaos and the people he encounters along the way. The stories unfold in a reverse chronological order which curiously begins with the end of a civilization. The over-arcing story reveals itself spanning multiple planets and different regions of the galaxy. Laced throughout the stories are episodes sure to keep the listener/reader hooked and wanting to know what happens next or better yet, what already happened. The music encompasses everything within the story, the twilight moments and battle infernos, and will play over and over again in your head.

Lyrics

The "in memory of..." Chronicles

Written By: Bob Baxter/Jeremy Graham

I watched as it fell from the distance
Unwanted by the merciless sky
I felt like those land thirsty ashes
I felt like
I feel like a lie

At the water's edge I buried my secrets
I buried my feet, the night and day clashed so loud
The interstate above us seems to be crashing down
I've been waiting
I've been waiting to tell you, I'm not your scout anymore
So pack up my things, send me on my way home

Saturn stations itself in the sky today and we'll start moving forward again through your sign
It's nothing to write home about

Push me away to be a solo fighter
Before it's too late I'll be on my way
To help you reach the cityscape
You will sleep tonight, you will sleep tonight
I'll be your guide
I'll be your pride

Saturn stations itself in the sky today and we'll start moving forward again through your sign
It's nothing to write home about

If you run it'll never be far enough
Because it's inside you

Thoughts Attached To A Circuit

Written By: Scarlett Classic

Every time I go back I change the way we are.

By the cover of night we attack
And from here, where do we go?
It's just a matter of time before daddy comes home
At the top of the hour, no sound
Could we all be afraid of our end?
It's just a matter of time before daddy comes home

I can't tell if I've woken up
Past the walk of the gravedigger
Don't ever let a body through this door
Never let a body through this door...

It's a shot in the dark, Lotus
Suppress fire on a never run
It's just a matter of time before the battle runs dry
Every round flickers light lighting
Thunder rolls with ever fallen corpse
It's just a matter of time before daddy comes home

I can't tell if I've woken up
Past the walk of the gravedigger
Don't ever let a body through this door
Never let a body through this door...
