"Scarlet White - Scarlet White"

November 29, 2012

The Christian alternative rock has grown through another one pretty good band. Scarlet White, which represents its self-titles debut album. After the first sounds one can notice similarity with Three Days Grace, but it is only at first glance. This group is primarily different by its mood - they do not express pain like their brothers in style =). The song "Rest", the light pop-rock song, almost the best confirms this, and "Stick to your guns" represents the marching tempo and Irish motives at the end, what sounds quite original.

This group can actually be called a great sample of post-grunge, but not of the common type. Beautiful vocalism and enough hardness have successfully created the positive atmosphere of the album. The band showed high standards from the first till the last song of this album. All the songs came out on the equal level - one cannot find any weak tracks as well as obvious hits. Therefore, it's better to listen to the album entirely. - RockReview.net

"Scarlet White Brings Light to the Zone"

March 14, 2014

Another week has come to an end in the MuZiChillZone again, and that means once again we have a new Featured Artist of the Week taking over the zone! This week it’s the one and only….SCARLET WHITE! Here’s
what need to know about Scarlet White with some highlights from my interview with lead singer, Spencer Minor.

This awesome group of Christian rockers formed in 2008 and hail from Three Rivers, Michigan. According their website, their name derives from the verse Isaiah 1:18. They released a self-titled album in 2012. Their new
song, ‘Never Met’, is available on iTunes and will hit the airwaves courtesy of Christian Rock 20.

They’ve been working on their forthcoming album ‘The Inbetween’ and have gotten help from Robby Takac. If that name looks familiar that’s because Robby is part of the most awesome group known as Goo Goo Dolls.
Makes you wonder if one day well see Scarlet White on the concert bill with the ‘Iris’ crooners.

This past Friday I was able to chat with Spencer via Skype and here’s some highlights from it.

About the song ‘Never Met’: According to Spencer the song is about anti-abortion and pro life. The song itself started out angry, but later became hopeful.

New Album: Spencer stated that they are aiming for a late summer release for their new album. They’re putting the finishing touches on it. Robby has been helping with the production in between touring.

Touring plans: When I asked, Spencer did tell me they are working on tour dates and hitting some festivals. They’re not as of yet set, but we can get up to date tour info at their website, scarletwhitemusic.com, So watch
for them hitting your town zoners.

Since we are on the subject of tours I had to ask (per my WAHster Jenna’s request)…..
Who are some of their dream tour mates: Avenged Sevenfold, Chevelle, Red, Skillet

Ultimate goal for the band: To impact people…Even if they play to thirty people and change the lives of only two
*That part is what stuck out most when I asked Spencer this*

Well, there you go zoners! Now go check Scarlet White like now. You never know….next time we see them maybe with some our other favorites! Head over to iTunes and pick up the debut album and their new song ‘Never Met’

"Indie Band Scarlet White Announce FaithLauncher Campaign To Fun 2014 Album "The Inbetween""

NEWS SOURCE: ESO Artist Management
Novemb er 11, 2013

Indie band Scarlet White have announced a Faith Launcher campaign to raise funds for their 2014 album "The Inbetween." For
details on how you can help, visit their campaign.

We're Scarlet White, a Christian rock band out of Michigan, whose passion is to make music that will impact your soul and change your lives. Our main focus, and inspiration is our fans, and God. We strive to continually grow
our relationships with the fans, while pursuing our never failing God.

A little background:
Since our humble beginnings in 2008, we have been through a lot of highs and lows. This is a tough industry, and unfortunately, we have run into the worst of them. The creation of our first album was a nightmare; broken promises, money on the run, and not being taken seriously. But such is life, and we have learned a lot from these difficult experiences. Your response to that first album, however, made up for the struggle, and our passion was
renewed.

NOW:
We have been working hard on the music for a whole new album, and we can't wait to get started. This winter we will be heading to Buffalo, New York to work with GCR Audio, the home of the Goo Goo Dolls. We're excited to share our hearts with our fans once again!
Here is where we need you. Recording an album is not cheap, and we won't be able to make this happen without your help! The money we raise will be used to record, mix, master, duplicate, package, and distribute the new 10 song album. Releasing in the Summer of 2014. Also, funds will help produce a ridiculously epic, music video for your favorite song on the album! We wouldn't ask you to donate without some mind bending perks!

Check out all the great things you can get for supporting our next chapter! (items displayed may change in availablity, cooler things are on their way!) Also, with chances to be a V.I.P or have your own private acoustic show!

With the new album, you can expect to hear a more powerful, and delightfully raw, Scarlet White. Portraying an honest, and heart filled passion for reaching out to the hurt and the lost. We've experienced some devastating
lows, and know what it feels like to find peace through it all. These past years have brought us to a point in our musical careers, where we feel like we can offer one heart pounding album, that will open our souls for you to
see. Thank you for your continued support through the good times and the bad. We wouldn't be here if it weren't for YOU!

"Music with a Message"

February 21, 2014
By Chris Chapman

Music with a message is what will be coming to the Jamestown area March 14, when Michigan-based Christian rock band, Scarlet White and Alfred-area rockers, Backstage Royalty hit the Willow Bay Theater.

Patterning themselves after bands like Red, Chevelle and Skillet, Scarlet White brings their Christian rock sound out to those who like to have a bit of a sore neck in the days after the show. Band frontman Spencer Minor said the band carries a mission of ministry that is genuine, to include building songs not only around their own experiences, but those of their fans.

"We write our songs about what we see our fans going through," he said. "We stay in touch with as many of them as we can through social media. We see a lot of them dealing with depression and thoughts of suicide, the loss of loved ones, and issues of life, in general."

Those songs are part of the album that the band will be recording in March. They will be stepping into the studio to be produced by Robby Takac, of the Goo Goo Dolls.

According to Spencer, at least one, maybe even two of the songs from that new album, the band's second, will be performed at the show.

"We will be doing a song called 'Bury Me Now'", Spencer said. "It's a song about leaving a legacy. What we are saying is, if I have lived a life worth telling my story, do so. If not, leave me to God."

For those who are wondering about the band's name, it carries a very specific meaning.

The name is taken from Isaiah 1:18, telling the story of sin being scarlet red, but through salvation, they shall be washed white as snow.

"The name came from my second cousin's husband," Spencer said. "He was sitting in church and heard that verse in a message. He got in touch and told us about it. It really fits into who we are."

"Scarlet White"

I don’t often get excited about a band, but one group is a big exception. Scarlet White is a Christian hard rock band from my adopted home town of Three Rivers, MI. While their reach may be regional, I won’t call these passionate musicians a local band. These guys are taking their music everywhere, guaranteed.

The Band
I’ve known band vocalist, Spencer Minor, for a few years now. He’s a great guy with a great family. His passion exudes from the music and energizes the lyrics. These guys are fun to follow on social media. They stay connected to their fans with frequent updates and take time to interact with their followers. It’s exciting to see how much Scarlet White has grown in just a few short years.

The Mission
The next step is to raise funds for their new album. Right now they’ve launched a campaign on Kickstarter to raise the $700 they need to get their new music out. I’ve pledged my support and I’m urging you guys to do the same. The great thing about Kickstarter is it allows the band to offer incentives for backers. For example, a $5 backing gets your name in the “Thank You” list on the album, while donating $25 gets you the album when it’s released, a guitar pick, and a band sticker. If you’re feeling particularly generous, you get to have dinner with the band! The catch with Kickstarter is that they have to raise all the money by the deadline, which is less than a week away or else the band doesn’t get the money (and the backers don’t get charged).

The Challenge
You’ve heard the music, you know these guys are awesome. You can be a real influence on the success of these committed musicians. Watch the video above and click the picture below to see their Kickstarter project and give a few bucks to get their music going! - Bryan Forester, August 16, 2012

"Scarlet White Signs with Transform Music Group"

Transform Music Group announces its most recent signing, Michigan-based modern rock band Scarlet White. Scarlet White will release its national debut in April of next year.
Comprising drummer Jacob Hendricks, guitarist Dan Hall, vocalist Spencer Minor, and bassist Erick Penn, Scarlet White formed in 2007. In three short years, the group amassed an impressive local following, which garnered the attention of Transform Music Group A&R Director, Aaron Richardson.
Richardson comments, “Christian music needs another quality ‘man rock’ band, and these guys deliver. Not to mention, they are one of the hardest working bands I have ever met. Their personal and professional ethics are a perfect fit with the vision of TMG.”
Transform Music Group CEO and president Matt Rogers adds, “Scarlet White mixes a big arena rock sound with strong, singable anthem choruses and lyrics that glorify God and country. More importantly, however, the band is dedicated to ministry first, and that is the type of artist we truly get excited about.”
Scarlet White’s debut, available in April, will be produced by Josh Silverberg (Seabird, Luminate), and feature sounds for fans of groups like Kutless and Red. The band will support the record on tour with labelmate At The Onset next spring. For more information on Scarlet White, visit www.myspace.com/scarletwhitemusic.
Based in Nashville, Tenn., Transform Music Group, a division of Mattrix Media Group, was founded by Matt Rogers, a 15-year veteran of the Christian music industry. The foundation of Transform Music Group is based on Acts 4:13 “The members of the council were amazed when the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were ordinary men with no special training in the Scriptures. They also recognized them as men who had been with Jesus.” The label, whose motto is “We’re not afraid to be a Christian Record Label,” seeks artists with a unique message and strong work ethic. It aims to represent the spectrum of Contemporary Christian Music genres. For more information, visit www.transform-music.com or www.twitter.com/transformmusicg. - Brittany
