"Indie Artists DIY"

"[Scooter] is certainly at the forefront of an important issue that’s here to stay.” - Newsweek/Tara Pepper

"Scooter's Self Promotion"

"Next to quality, the trick to successful songwriting is probably hustling. And if Scooter Scudieri didn't write the book on hustling, he's at least developed a lecture/workshop series focusing on it.” - Billboard Magazine/Jim Bessman

"Reinventing the Rock Star"

“Lots of musicians talk about using the Internet to revolutionize the music industry. Scooter Scudieri is doing it.” - Boston Herald/Larry Katz

"One Man Record Label Spreads Positive Message"

"While Scudieri's go it alone strategy has also won him recognition both within the industry and without, it's his artistic acumen combined with savvy guerilla marketing that's allowed him to pave his own path.” - Goldmine Magazine/Lee Zimmerman

"Best of the New Writers"

“In the 12 years I've been producing showcases for the Songwriters Hall of Fame, I've never seen anyone create the kind of buzz that Scooter created for our March 19 event! He's a good writer. There's just something different, a different kind of energy and way to write something. He's the type of writer who I hope succeeds because he has the guts to start his own business. He's not just sitting around waiting for someone to take care of it for him. He's taken charge and is going to make it happen, and I have a lot of respect for a guy like that.” - Songwriters Hall of Fame/Bob Leone

"Scooter's Music Rocks!"

“[Scooter] has turned into a dynamo over the past five years. Neither Arrogant nor apologetic, Scudieri just concentrates on producing the best work, best product that he can and keeps his independence.” - Washington Post.com/Maria Villfana

SCOOTER NAMED VOX POPULI WINNER IN THE 2008 INDEPENDENT MUSIC AWARDS FOR THE SOCIAL ACTION SONG CATEGORY FOR HIS SONG JESUS AND MUHAMMAD (THE KISSING SONG)! JUST Selected as a SKOPE Magazine Artist to Watch in 2009! Just added to iRadio 104 Los Angeles rotation! posted May 19, 2009

In 1999, Scooter Scudieri's fans dubbed him the Internet's First Rock Star after he raised $50,000.00 online to create his first solo CD without an agent, manager, or record company. His strong views of the artist to fan digital distribution system and his powerful stage presence garnered the attention of mainstream artists and the media. By 2003, Scooter had performed with more than 35 international acts and had toured the country opening for Jewel during her Wild Wild West Tour. The Songwriters Hall of Fame awarded him "Best of the New Writers" in 2003 and he was featured in numerous newspapers and magazines including Billboard, Music Connection, Goldmine, The Boston Herald, Newsweek, and WashingtonPost.com.

Scooter developed a DIY music lecture series entitled "Capture Your Spirit, Keep Your Soul" which debuted at Berklee College of Music in Boston and continues to take him around the country. Scooter was invited to become a member of the DCIA (Distributed Computing Industry Association) and spoke with senators on Capital Hill during the MGM v. Grokster Supreme Court case. In 2005 Scooter raised more than six thousand dollars for the Red Cross with a P2P download of his song "This Too Will Pass" in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Scooter honored many offers to perform at peace rallies including the United for Peace and Justice in the Nation's Capital which drew more than 100,000 people. His political and social activist songs began to connect with an increasing number of fans. It was at this point that Scooter began forming the idea of a full scale performance art concert. He would spend three years creating the concept, music, video, and art.

2008: "Rattle to Rifle" is Scooter's third solo CD and a step forward in production on an ambitious multimedia performance of the 19 song album. Inspired by the volatile mix of religion and politics, Scooter gives voice to the children of war as Jezum Crow - an eight foot tall preacher of humanity delivering a musical sermon. He performs on stilts in full makeup and costume, and incorporates giant puppets, paintings, and video projection into a swirling spectacle of political activism. The performance is intended for mature audiences. A permanent installation as well as mobile production of the show are available.

Scooter continues to operate under the mantra No Agent, No Manager, No Record Company, however he does have legal representation with Drinker/Biddle of Washington, DC.

Scooter has opened for or performed with: Jewel, Jason Mraz, The Dave Matthews Band, Blind Melon, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Dillon Fence, Widespread Panic, The Samples, Dream Theater, Life, Sex and Death, Nils Lofgren, Steve Poltz, Richie Havens, and more....

Scooter has performed on: VH1, Mountain Stage, Dick Clark’s Livin Large, NBC 25, Dateline WV, numerous college campuses

Scooter is endorsed by MEIEA (Music Entertainment Industry Educators Association), and is a member of NAPM (National Association of Popular Music, and the DCIA (Distributed Computing Industry Association)
