Bio
Scott has been playing guitar since the age of six. He earned a degree in guitar from the prestigious Musicians Institute (GIT) in L.A. and has played in every kind of band including horn bands, symphonies, jazz and rock. Also a worship leader for over 20 years, Scott has led worship in every kind of setting and with countless others such as Chuck Girard, Eddie Espinoza, The Kry, EastWest, Larry Norman and Randy Stonehill.
Scott also has an almost unbelievable personal story. In the early 80s, he got lost in the world of drug addiction and ended up living on the streets and supporting his drug habit through a life of crime. He lost everything. From his bunk in a tiny jail cell in 1988, Scott cried out to God, and started back on the road to recovery. Since then, Scott has led worship and told his story across the U.S. His sense of humor and powerful testimony always has an audience both laughing and crying! In a world where addiction is commonplace, especially in the church, Scott's story is an awesome one for churches to use.
Over the past 30 years, Scott has written over 1,000 songs and has two worship CDs to his credit: Lion Tamer and Better Than Life. Scott’s love for Scripture and ‘groove’ music has churches all over the U.S. singing and using his songs.
