Bio

Scott Copeland is considered one of the premier singer-songwriters throughout Texas and Oklahoma. His almost cult-like following and the respect he has earned from fellow artists in the Texas/Red Dirt Music scene attests to this. This proves to be evident by looking at the caliber and success of the bands who have felt it necessary to include their own renditions of his songs on their albums. These bands include The Great Divide, Mike McClure Band, and Cross Canadian Ragweed's cover of his obscure "Lighthouse Keeper" on their Garage album. Having said that, chart success and number of albums sold isn't the driving factor or the measuring stick by which these guys choose to guage themselves. Instead you get a group of musicians intent on delivering the highest quality of music that compliments Scott's writing and engulfs the audience in the moment. To achieve this Scott enlisted the help of long-time friend, sometimes co-writer, and singer-songwriter Andy Pate to play bass and sing harmony. Gary Grammer, absolutely one of the best harmonica players in the area seems to set the mood, and Roby Scott's innovative lead guitar riffs seem to tie everything together. What all of this amounts to is a tight, intimate, inclusive show no matter how large or small the audience may be.
