I was influenced early on by singer songwriters like Harry Chapin, Jim Croce, Don Mclean, and Cat Stevens. I'm not blessed with an American Idol voice. I rely on emotion and well crafted lyrics to sell my songs.

I shy away from top 40 kind of tunes and instead concentrate on telling stories that people can relate to. If nothing else my songs are real. They're about real people and real life. Much of my life has been one self inflicted train wreck after another and it wasn't until the death of my kid brother and the tireless love of my wife Jenny and the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ that I was finally able to rise above my transgressions and truly become a new man. Now days, almost every song I write is intended to glorify The Lord. If in the end only one person has been led to Jesus through my songs then it all will have been worthwhile.
