Scott Mangene

Originally from Durham, New Hampshire, Scott has been entertaining audiences as front man for such bands as Sideshow Bob and Maxwell Strait for over ten years. If you've seen or heard SideShow Bob then you're familiar with Scott's all out flair when fronting a band. With an arsenal of witticisms, peculiar dances and an impressive set of pipes Scott takes command of the stage like no other. One of the greatest aspects of this package is his voice of course. But he can hit real hard and serious vocals and then suddenly add an inflection or an animated move and have you in complete stitches. One thing is for certain, and don't let him fool you, Scott is a serious talent that has propelled the groups that he's played with to success attracting huge crowds over the years. SideShow Bob's success rode on an excellent live show "ring mastered" by this excellent live performer.
And now Scott is stepping out on his own with the release of his first solo CD, A Collection of Simple Songs. The new CD is personal and introspective with a dose of the fun-loving attitude that has come to be expected by his fans. From the lyrical love song Je T'aime to the rollicking The Jack Song, the new CD presents every facet of Scott's character and gives the listener an aural treat.
Former band mate Ted McCloskey adds additional instrument layers to the sound, providing a rich canvas for the lyrics. And Kate Twoey's harmonies round out a vocal sound that is lacking in most works on the market today.
Scott is currently touring in the Northeast and will be supporting regional radio promotion with appearances and interviews. Appearances will be both solo and with McCloskey and Twoey.
