Bend

Written By: Scott Massarsky

Bend

Put your head down look out the window
Don’t you worry about tomorrow
Like the branches of a willow
Let your head bend towards the pillow
Let it all fall, let it all go

The wind is whistling never be discouraged
And if you’re listening it’s a song of courage
Like the branches you are learning
Like the leaves your mind is turning

Let it all fall let it all go
Let it all just float away

Put your head down look out the window
Don’t you worry about tomorrow
Like the branches of a willow
Let your head bend towards the pillow
Let it all fall, let it all go

All of these day

Written By: Scott Massarsky

no hello's
no goodbye's
no such thing here as time
in this place where I build my life

as we pass
we embrace
could be a year
could be a day
it's just nice to see your face

and no law to hold us back
just the moon and the sun
to keep track of these days
all of these day
all of these days
as they float on by

I go in
you go out
is there a reason to doubt
that we all have our time
and our place

I let go of all my ties
just a hook
and a fish
to my line
and these days
all of these days
all of these days
as they float on by

no goodbyes
no hello's
its just me here in my boat
I just don't want to be washed away

Big Boy

Written By: Scott Massarsky

Big Boy

Threads of wool a covered stone
I cross a stream on my way home
Look at me all ready to go
I got my jacket on
Its time to go home

I cross the street
You hold my hand
There is still so much
I don’t understand
I’ll miss you so
But I’ll be coming back
The bus will drop me off
At 3:00 flat

I wanted to ask you
Ask you
The trees are blue today

I wanted ask you
Ask you
Ask you
Why the branches when the wind is still
Sways

I’ll clap my hands
And tap my feet
I’ll teach myself
To wash and eat
I watch the birds
As they feed
I give them bread
Crumbs
And sunflower seeds

Monkey see
Monkey do
The lions roar
The cows they moo

I wish they were free
I wish I was too
One day I’ll open up
All the cage doors
At the zoo

I wanted to ask you
Ask you
The trees are blue today

I wanted ask you
Ask you
Ask you
Why the branches when the wind is still
Sways

Grandmother

Written By: Scott Massarsky

Verse:
Leaned my back against her trunk
Hung my head and cried
What are these voices where they coming from
A million souls ready to rise

Chorus:
Oh Grandmother what’s it like
To be in once place for all your life
Feet are rooted firm to the ground
Still your hands touch the clouds
What’s it like
What’s it like
What’s it like

Verse:
Film is rolling in my head
Brown and red and out of focus
All these shapes and color seem to blend
There’s an ocean filled with breath

Bridge:
She said you must be strong and aware
Learn to love and learn to care
Never back away from a fight
Just stand tall and use your sight
What’s it like
What’s it like
What’s it like
What’s like

Chorus:
Oh Grandmother what’s it like to be in once place for all your life
Feet are rooted firm to the ground
Still your hands touch the clouds
What’s it like
What’s it like
What’s it like….

Ending (Bridge):
She said you must be strong and aware
Learn to love and learn to care
Never back away from a fight
Just stand tall and use your sight
What’s it like, what’s it like, what’s it like

Mobile

Written By: Scott Massarsky

I look up
I look out
All these rings seem to bounce
There’s a dog
There’s a cat
As they swing
I start to laugh

I can here all the sounds
Of the forest spinning round
I hear the water
Hear the wind
As the sky it starts to spin

My laces they are tied
I see chains and I see stripes
They dangle as they sway
Brings a smile to my face

And my mouth opens wide
Letting out the joy inside
I cannot keep it in
As my mobile begins to spin

It begins to spin

I can here all the sounds
Of the forest spinning round
I hear the water
Hear the wind
As the stars begin to spin

My Little Heart Beats

Written By: Scott Massarsky

My little heart beats away

The rhythm it seems to put me at ease
My little heart beats away

A magical scene of horses and geese
My little heart beats away

My little Heart beats
My little Heart beats
My little Heart beats away

All of these things I think that I need
My little heart beats away

They all disappear as if they were a dream
My little heart beats away

My little Heart beats
My little Heart beats
My little Heart beats away

All that I see are visions of green
My little heart beats away
Like cars and machines and engines and steam
My little heart beats away

My little Heart beats
My little Heart beats
My little Heart beats away

The love is so big that this little package brings
My little Heart beats away
They seem to beat together
As we both fall asleep
Our little hearts beat away

Embrace

Written By: Scott Massarsky

Embrace

Oh will you come along
Share in this vision with me
The only way to remain strong
Is to continue to believe

In your eyes I see

Something that gives me a hope
I light that will not grow dim
A spirit that will not be broken
I finally see a new way in

I look to the moon and the sun
And to the darkness within
I come to you with love
All I want is to give

All I want is to give to you

Is a place where I know you can grow
And learn and feel safe
The light that we pass on
Is your to embrace

Its yours too embrace

Half Life

Written By: Scott Massarsky

Half of what I've seen
And half of what I've known
Has been censored and screened
Has a permanent home
In the eyes
Of the sky
In a field filled with clouds
But when it rains it pours and it all falls out

And it all falls out
And it all falls out

Half of what I've dreamed
And half of what I've owned
Has been evicted and contained
In the concrete and the stone
And when I dare to sing
And bring a smile to my face
I need not be warned how soon it can be erased

How soon it can be erased

Half of it is right
And half of it is wrong
But only in my head
When I'm thinking of this song
But when I'm singing I forget
The room has walls and doors
And I'm a hundred percent dedicated
That there is no excuse for war

Half of me alive
And half of me is dead
Its how I've learned to survive
When all I see is red
And half of me is hopeful
And the other half is scarred
That when I finally awake
There will be no one else there.

Boundless love

Written By: Scott Massarsky

Boundless love

When it’s more than I take
And my heart it starts to break
It’s a chance for me to escape
Into a boundless love

Like a raft that’s out at see
There is something that is carrying me
Like two arms that I can’t see
In this boundless love

In the eyes of a man
Who I will never understand
In anger raises his hand
In a boundless love

When I look to the sky
All I see are signs
like a chalk board drawing lines
In this boundless love

Will I ever be free from this suffereing
Instead I try to bring in
some attention and love

I have heard of field
Where there are no
Swords or shields
It makes me want to yield into a boundless love

My Angel (Gabriel)

Written By: Scott Massarsky

I’ve fallen, I’ve fallen, I’ve fallen for you
My love, my love, my love is so true

My angel, my angel, my angel she was
There are no hard feelings she did it for love

Chorus:
And they dressed her in red,
And they dressed her in white
A virgin an angel when in the right light

No she didn’t repent
but she was my wife
She took me breath away along with my life

4 lovers discovered but only one caught
I know there were others They deserved what they got

1 was a fighter and 1 was a thief
1 was a liar a murdering cheat
1 was unlucky an honest sad face
walked in at the right time but in the wrong place

Chorus:
And they dressed her in red
And they dressed her white
A virgin an angel when in the right light

No she didn’t repent
But she was my wife
She took me breath away along with my life

I lived, I lived, I outlived them all
The plot it was thickened The jury appalled

I’ve fallen, I’ve fallen, I’ve fallen for you
Too bad you never had the burden of proof

Tell me you’ll love me
And you’ll never leave
Give me a pardon
And I’ll set you free

Only Human

Written By: SCott Massarsky

The love that you give
And the love you take away
Is it really gone
Or just changing its place

With the life that you live
And the life that you take
And what you tell yourself
With the choices you make

I am only human
I am only human after all

I decide I wanted to know
To see it first hand
One decisive blow
With a stick in my hand
From the back of the head
And I held you from your leg
Its not the way I thought it would be
But it never is

I am only human
I am only human after all

From the top of the chain
The links they follow down
But we all are connected to each other somehow
Can we temper the pain
Does it eventually subside
Is it better to have known
Then to compromise

I am only human
I am only human after all

It is all about control
And how much we have
On our thoughts our lives
On the animals and land
Do we need to let go
Or just hold on with a gentler hand
Aware as we grow and as we expand

I am only human
I am only human after all
