Modern Guitars Mag“Scott McKeon brings something fresh to the blues table... his music is a reminder that the blues doesn't come from a place on the map, but from a place in the heart”.

Guitar Techniques“The album finds McKeon emerging as an overdue standard-bearer for a new generation of British blues-rock, fronting his power trio through barnstorming Texas shuffles but also contemporary song structures that evoke Arc Angels, Chris Duarte and Storyville”.
“McKeon is a fresh new young talent who deserves success”.

Get Ready To Rock “One of the best rock blues albums of the year”.

Guitar Tech Mag. “McKeon is a fresh young talent who deserves success”.

Blues & Rhythm “There’s no taking it away from him, for a 20 year old he has awesome command of his instrument".

Classic Rock Magazine“Shot Down” track on Blues covermount CD “After witnessing him take the audience by storm supporting Johnny Winter, Scott has been a regular visitor to Classic Rock stereo. “Shot Down” is indicative of the material on his thrilling, high-octane debut which contains 10 original tracks. Even more impressively, McKeon isn’t ‘just’ a singer & guitarist, he also plays drums & bass”.

Bio

Since picking up his first guitar at the age of four, Scott McKeon has devoted himself to the mastery of his craft and can now be considered to be one of the most gifted and naturally talented guitarist, singer/songwriters emerging on the UK blues
rock scene. He plays with the technical expertise and
passion that is the envy of musicians many years his senior.

Born in 1986, Scott has achieved much to date. At the age of just seven he made his debut on national TV, and has since appeared on many TV shows and regional news programmes. The 1998 winner of Guitarist Magazine’s “Young Guitarist of the Year” title, Scott is already listed as one of the 27 best blues guitar players in the world on Google, and has had one of the tracks off his album used on the latest Impulse viral ad. At just 21 years old, Scott has already graced the stage of the legendary Antones (where he has an open invitation to return), as well as sharing performance space with Buddy Guy, Sonny Landreth, the North Mississippi Allstars, Joe Bonamassa and Johnny Winter.

Scott and his band have been plying their trade quietly but successfully for the past few years and have already played on the main stage at the Colne Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival and Bishopstock, where they were voted talent finalists and became the first unsigned band to play the main stage as well as being featured on Paul Jones’ BBC Radio Two show.
Scott’s debut album, Can’t Take No More, (produced by Jesse Davey of The Hoax) is a blistering blues power release, showing just where contemporary blues recordings should be going. The album generated a lot of buzz, having entered the iTunes blues album chart at number 4. Guitarist Magazine printed an interview with Scott and a glowing album review in their Dec 06 issue, and featured a track from the record on their March 07 covermount CD. The album has been glowingly reviewed in all the major UK Blues press, as well as in Holland, Germany and Scandinavia.

Earlier this year Scott opened the bill for Eric Clapton and John Mayer at the Hard Rock Calling festival in Hyde Park, London, before flying out to play a number of high profile festivals in North America. He has just returned from a series of European festivals including Spain, Germany and Holland.

Scott is signed to Provogue records (www.provoguerecords.com), and joins the likes of Walter Trout and Joe Bonamassa on this prestigious label.
