Scott Mellis

Scott Mellis is a singer songwriter from Caloundra, Australia. He cut his teeth playing the Australian pub rock circut and just cut his first single in North Carolina with legendary engineer Bruce Irvine, "Honeybee," co-produced by Brad Smith (Blind Melon). He is working on additional tracks at the prestigious Record Plant with engineer Mitch Kenny, and has quickly building up a strong profile and fan base here in the States, evident by two recent gigs - one supporting Jason Mraz and the other opening for Tom Morello. He is solidly playing at L.A’s premier band venues, and is a strong supporting player. His style as a soulful singer songwriter is reminiscent of a hard-edged Jeff Buckley and his songs are noted for their depth, clever lyricism and professional fluency. In the short time that he cut his single here in Los Angeles, he has already acquired two film and television placements.
