On January 14, 1997, Jordan "ScottP" Bynum was born in Atlanta, Georgia. He moved to Maryland at the age of 3 and later found that he had an affinity for music. He started playing guitar in 4th grade and was writing music by the 5th, but apparently that is not where his heart was. In 7th grade he moved back to Atlanta, where he met Jeuan Smith (Lasko Bills), who was into rapping. Bynum started rapping under the alias "JB" and developed his style with Smith until 2012, when the two met Miles Davies, a film director who had a team of people focused on film, art, and music, under the name Unclassified Productions, where Bynum found the rap moniker "Scottie P". After personal issues tore Unclassified Productions apart, Davies, Bynum, and Smith banded together to create D.O.P.E. MG (Dreams Open People's Eyes Music Group). Later on Bynum changed his rap moniker from "Scottie P" to "ScottP" for marketing reasons.
