Bio

As a native of Colorado, Scott spent the first 19 years of his life nearly 9000 feet up in the Rockies. He started playing guitar in the mid 70's around the age of 13. By the age of 16 he was the lead singer and one of a couple of guitar players for a regionally popular band called "Load Limit". The 7 piece southern rock band played to standing room only crowds for a number of years.

For the next 25 years he pursued a passion of his in the area of biblical research and teaching, while still finding the time to work a day job and record on 18 albums as a multi-instrumentalist and singer. This list includes two solo records which he wrote and produced. On the first, produced in Austin Texas in 1997 and titled “This Day’s For You”, he was joined by national flat picking champion Mike Whitehead as well as former players from the bands of Linda Ronstadt and Willie Nelson and the great violinist Danny Levin. His newest record, released in May of 2005 and titled "Safe Evermore" has been affectionately described by some as "Ameri-Gospel-Grass". On this project he teamed up with his friends from one of the fastest rising new bluegrass bands in the country "Hit and Run Bluegrass" out of Boulder. Recorded live ensemble-style, these songs run the gamut from a beautiful, reflective instrumental "Peace and Joy" to some down right finger lickin' good pickin' on songs like "The Reason".

Though this record is Gospel in nature he does write other songs. He wrote the song “Love Never Fails” used in one of the top theatrical productions in the country “Christy The Musical” which ran for over four years. His fun, disarming, and easy going stage presence mixes well with a clear, strong voice, and his top shelf musicianship on the guitar.
