I've recorded both on my own as well as with a band. I've always preferred a live show, so I've never created an actual product to sell. I have recordings of my voice that I can share, but no actual "releases" to speak of.

Feeling a bit camera shy

I grew up in a musical household. At an early age, my mother was teaching me how to hear and sing harmony. When I was fifteen, my mother, three siblings and I began travelling and performing together. We sang a capella music with a contemporary sound at first, and branched out to include some gospel as well.

We continued this way for nearly 10 years and then decided it was time to hang it up as a family group. My brother and I were both married at the time and had kids on the way, so we felt like travelling was not the best way to spend our time. I still had the need to perform, so I gathered a group of friends and started a band. We landed a recurring gig at a Christian singles get together called Tampa Bay Metro, so we became the Metro Band. This is where my blues influence began.

Two members of the band had played together previously in a band called Blues for Food and brought their blues influence to the band. We did Christian rock music with a heavy dose of blues infused. I began writing music with this band as well.

As I grew musically, I realized I wasn't giving back at all, so I began teaching music to Middle School and High School students. I've continued that to this day and am still a Director of Student Music for a 10,000+ member church.
