Local guy wins Wendy’s
NEWS. The slurps, crinkles, fizzles, sizzles and pops wafting from Wendy’s was music to the ears of Hull’s Scott Robinson. The 33-year-old construction worker mixed his way to the $5,000 grand prize in Wendy’s Baconator Sound Bites Contest. Working with 54 available samples from an actual Wendy’s test kitchen, he created the urban backing track for a jam available now at ThisIsMyBurger.com. To achieve the final mix that you hear on the site, Robinson was then brought to L.A. to record the tune with music producer Michael Hudson and mix it up with the rhymes of hip-hop group Shot Callaz. Unwrapped, the hot mix is not as cheesy as 1988 McDonald’s flexi-disc “$1,000,000 Menu Song,” and certainly a lot more tasteful than BK’s creepy King.
