What an engaging jam! Love it! Grounding drums, guitar out front, butterflying flute, bass rounding it all out, psychedelic blurring, wasp mating/devouring, oval moon, and black, white and blue clouds swirling and gliding west. The whole kit and kabuttal! How wonderful! Would love to see these Screaming Coyotes live. Do they plan to come to NYC anytime soon?

Bio
Screaming Coyotes formed in July, 2010 in Southern Vermont. We draw from the infinite inspiration in the world to create our unique original music. The polyphonic fusion of our instruments can be described as "Rock Flute-tronica". You have never heard flute sound like this! In the short 15 months since forming, Screaming Coyotes has performed at various locations in New York City, MA, NH, VT, and the late-night weekend slots at 2 festivals in Maine.
Our band members have a long history of various musical experiences. However, this time it feels like we are making truly special tunes that we want to share with the world. Each of us has a million musical influences but some we have in common include: Hendrix, Traffic, Santana, Phish, The Allman Brothers, Pink Floyd, Cream, The Grateful Dead, and The Marshall Tucker Band.
Derek Gladding plays electric guitar -- a soulful blues mixed with synthesized space journeys. Don Fortin plays electric bass -- a funky pulsing finger tapping style all his own. Tad Martin plays drum kit -- a tribal echo from each individual part of the drum kit merges together in unity. Vanessa Fortin plays flute -- a rocking dance of melody lines and rhythmic special effects. Vocals are provided by both Derek and Vanessa -- an ocean of octaves apart from each other blending in harmony.
At six performances this past year, Dagan Selbach-Broad played passionately on a second drum kit and on djembe.
In the near future, we look forward to writing new songs, playing more local concerts, and focusing on recording good material.
