Stop Press Scripts For Sidewalks Leaving The Tweed Coast!!!

Formed 2 years ago by Russel Evans, (Drums) Reuban Payne, and Jay Bowden with a lead singer who didn't share the same vision as the musical backline, the band wanted to make punk rock!!

After kicking the lead singer to the curb Jay Bowden decided to take on the role of singing once established Scripts For Sidewalks sought lead guitarist in friend and co punk rocker Peter Carter who had always been there but never had a chance 6 months later a punk rock band has finally formed and compiled an independent 6 track EP called In These Shadows.

Scripts for Sidewalk believe in there thrashy punk driven style and want to share there dream with the world, screaming your lungs out and having your say can pay off as long as you can keep at it.

These Boys Believe punk rocks not dead yet and as long as there are people out there getting pushed to the ground we will be there to pick them up again.

Scripts for Sidewalks will be touring Melbourne and tassie from feb thru to march after such we will be baseing our band in Melbourne after relentless hours and hard work trying to promote ourselves in the tweed gold coast area doing shows etc.. We've finally came to the conclusion that untill local businesses and venues start to promote local acts and artists this area will remain a hotspot for a RSLs and Bowling Clubs which don't support the demographic of the youth of this area and alternate culture.

We will be playing a couple of shows before leaving for our diehard fanbase that we must express our deepest gratitude for as without you guys we would not be here. For details Head online.

Bio

inspired by the late 80's and 90's punk scene, which showed us how to see through the lies and propaganda we are fed everyday at a young age. we decided to stand against these lies with our music so hopefully others can live without such injustices. and because we love music. And love playing live. after 2 years of playing and promoting ourselves as a punk rock band we have decided to try to get on tour we beleive we have played enough live, free and kick arse shows to start touring .our music is thrashy definitive punkrock with melodic scream vocals over the top of old skool attitude lyrics blended with fast hitting riffs and deep rythmic base lines our music seems to be set apart from the rest as it sound's like no other punk band we have heard in a long time our influences include :lagwagon, guttermouth, anti flag, bullet for my vallentine, rise against, pennywise, story of the year, rancid, nofx, propaghandi, avenged sevenfold, dead kennedy's, the clash, grinspoon,we are up for the challange and are willing to go to the limits just to play a live show (punks not dead well not yet anyway )
