Seahorse was founded in 2004 by Argentinean songwriter/ guitarist Brian Baillie and American drummer Chris Williams. Eventually the band expanded to include bassist Ken Jacobson, and Seahorses memorably raw and moody sound was formed. Evoking inspiration from both the volatile streets of Buenos Aires, and contemporary American music, the bands melodic soundscapes reflect a unique combination of classic musicianship and experimental minimalism. Seahorse pushes the limits of live music by devising new guitar, bass, and drum textures, experimenting with distortion, delays, pitch shifting and multi-track looping. Currently active on the Seattle club circuit, Seahorse can be seen performing live at venues all over the Northwest.
