Bio
Ginny13, stylized as "ginny13", is an alternative electronic music duo based in Miami, Florida. Their two founders are artists Yyvyy and Sean Capistrano. Their sound can be described as a "repurposing of and paying of respects to early 2010s internet music" with their fundamental sonic inspirations being "Skrillex", "2012 Youtube Gaming Tutorials", and "Dance Gavin Dance". Unlike many of their contemporaries in the underground electronic music scene today, "ginny13" attempts to be transitionary for listeners who are unfamiliar to the soundscape of today's underground electronic music scene. All the while, "ginny13" attempts to create a melody and unison between the underground, their inspirations, and the mainstream. This can be found in their first album release titled "Only Human" (2020). The album features many genre-bending cuts, such as the dark, melodic Drum & Bass/Dubstep aggression in "Addy - Remix" and the saw synth heavy track "All My Life - 666 Remix". The duo continues to push on forward with their sound, using the goldmine that is the 2010s as their backdrop.
