"10 Upcoming Rappers You Need To Know"

"Sean Scott is a promising rapper hailing from New York city, who was born in Atlanta, Georgia. If you’re a fan of New York Hip Hop, some of this kid’s tunes will have you reminiscing on the good ol’ days, all while feeling like you’re experiencing something completely new. While Sean Scott‘s sound may seem reminiscent of NY-based raps from the past, his calm and laid back style is a new take on something we already find fresh. Representing the Honor Roll, Sean Scott has already put in work with names that fans of Rap are familiar with, including Pav Bundy, known for his work with Jadakiss, Styles P, D-Block, and Missy Elliott.

Sean Scott recently debuted the visual for his My Inception track “Leave ‘Em Froze.” The hard hitting track is a perfect example of Sean’s New York influence, with a gritty Nas sample.

Sean Scott is currently in the studio recording his debut street album, My Inception, scheduled to release later this year." - Alexander - RapDose.com

"Sean Scott – In My City"

"We're always on the hunt for dope new music to bring to you, and today we have some from the rising star MC named Sean Scott. Sean is back with a dope new track to rock with this weekend called "In My City", which is sure to catch your attention.

The track finds the lyricist bringing his a-game and creating something contagious and quite lyrical in the process. This shit right here should not be slept upon. Check it out after the jump and speak your mind on it down below." - Jesse James - StupidDope.com

"Sean Scott – Look Into My Eyes"

“The sounds of Sean Scott are something you should definitely be paying attention too. Today the up and coming artist is back with a solid new offering for our ears to devour, this time around unleashing his track “Look Into My Eyes” for our listening enjoyment.

The track finds Sean going in over top of these highly contagious melodies and crisp drum sections and spilling a barrage of his lyrical talents along the way. This dude is nothing to sleep on, and again showcases his reasons why. Check out the track after the jump and speak on it down below.” – Jesse James - StupidDope.com

"Sean Scott – In My City"

"Sean Scott has no problem reppin’ NYC. Over his latest single “In My City,” the Atlanta-born, New York-raised artist gives a rundown of how they do things in his hometown. After listeners get a full introduction of Sean Scott’s promising career with lines like “City all on my back and I carry the keys like I’m a locksmith,” he goes on to shout out Nas, Biggie, and Jay Z, three rappers he credits his style to. The Pav Bundy-produced record also introduces some of New York’s favorite characters: the Block-huggers, Papi from the Bodega, and the shark-like natives.

“In My City” marks Sean Scott’s second release of the summer. It’s the follow-up to his first single “Talkin Bout” and keeps with the theme of the Empire State. Both tracks can be heard on his forthcoming project My Inception, which is scheduled for an October release." - Danitha Jones - TheStashed.com

"Sean Scott – Look Into My Eyes"

"Sean Scott is back with another loosie, his latest being the Pav Bundy-produced “Look Into My Eyes.” As usual, the New York native reps his hometown to the fullest with gully bars and a cocky outlook. “Shawn Carter, Sean Combs, learn from the best/ If Sean is in correlation with money that means Scott is next,” he rhymes. By the time the hook rolls around, he makes claim to the top spot with “Take a look into my eyes and see what I’ve become, just getting in the game and already feel like I won.”

“Look Into My Eyes” follows Sean Scott’s “Welcome,” a freestyle we premiered at the start of the month. While neither of these tracks will make the cut off his forthcoming project, My Inception, the New York native has been prepping its release. Over the summer, he released “In My City” and “Talkin Bout,” two single that gave listeners a taste of what to expect on his mixtape.

My Inception is due for release soon. Stay tuned." - Danitha Jones - TheStashed.com

"Sean Scott - Talkin' Bout (Official Music Video)"

“The name “Sean Scott” may not ring a bell right now but, once his debut feature’s made the rounds, everybody’s gonna be Talkin’ Bout the Empire State rhymesayer. On this freshly-minted mixtape single, debuting on our front page along with director Lambkini‘s official visuals, the unsigned emcee sets out to singlehandedly disprove those who claim NYC’s fallen off. Pav Bundy‘s production, a scintillating synth arrangement with just a hint of dubstep in the thrumming bassline, sets the stage for verses celebrating his city’s illustrious legacy in the game, as well as his own paper chase. Fans will be able to find Talkin’ Bout and much more on Scott’s My Inception mixtape, scheduled for digital release in October.” – Richard - DJBooth.net

Bio

Atlanta born, New York raised hip-hop artist Sean Scott is the next big thing to come out of New York City. His calm, laid back style mixed with witty over the head punch lines, and an excellent ability to paint pictures with his lyrics makes every song come to life. Seans diverse style has been influenced by some of hip-hops elite such as Notorious B.I.G.NasJay-Z and Kanye West.

During his childhood, Sean was always surrounded by hip-hop and various genres of music. Due to his fathers connections in the hip hop industry, Sean was always just an ear shot away from hip-hop music. While most children at the age of six and seven were playing outside on Saturday, Sean spent every morning with his mother listening to iconic groups such as The Sylvers and Sly and The Family Stone. The upbeat tempos and sound of live instruments are what attracted Sean the most to music. These sounds inspired him to begin writing at such a young age.

Though Sean has been writing for most of his life, he did not record his first record until the age of seventeen at Magic Studio in the Bronx. Even though his first time in the recording booth wasnt that great, Sean showed a lot of promise. As time went by and with the help of friends and family (HonorRoll & Top Notch), he slowly began to mold himself as an artist. This maturation led to him joining More Than Muzic as their flagship artist. He is currently in the studio recording his debut street album, My Inception, which will feature production from Pav Bundy (JadakissStyles PMissy Elliott), 12 Keyz (French Montana, Ashanti, Estelle) and Jamil Chammas (The Lonely Island).
