"Sean Bendickson: Paper Wings"

"Sean is a multi-faceted songwriter with a style all of his own. . . He is contemporary and yet he draws from the well established rhythms we all love. These are all finely crafted tunes with superb musicianship and heart felt lyrics sung with passion. A blend of pure acoustic guitar and voice with full band arrangements make this a dynamic mix.

Sean has a solid relaxed style that will make you feel like you're at home on the front porch on a sunny afternoon under a big blue sky, kickin' back!"

Bio

Sean grew up in Montana, singing songs with his brothers. Throughout school he was primarily a student of the drumset. Once moving to the Pacific Northwest, he rooted himself in the music scene with his adept drumming skills. While recording on dozens of records, touring with Glen Phillips (of Toad the Wet Sprocket) and fighting the bar crowds in Seattle, Tacoma and Anacortes, he fostered his skills as a guitarist and songwriter.

His original music and vocals first appeared on two albums on which he collaborated with his brothers: "Are We There Yet" (2000) and "Ordinary Day" (2002). But in 2004 he stepped out from under the wings of his older siblings and created a full-length album: "Paper Wings". The record is a collection of original, surprisingly mature acoustic rock tunes invoking images of love lost, road trips, spiritual seeking and coming of age.

Sean still freelances as a drummer, bass player and guitarist in an extensive list of groups and studios. He also leads music at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Everett. He is currently planning to finish his second album and to increasingly book dates in the greater Pacific Northwest.
