Sean Cruickshank: He is the fierce male counterpart to Rihanna and Beyonce. He is the heir to Freddie Mercury and Prince's thrones. Of New Jersey, descended from the Islands, his above influences, mixed with todays' hits, world beats, and 80s New Wave Rock, are what makes him the star of tomorrow.

Biography

Crossing genres, boundaries, and clear-cut defined lines, was something Sean Cruickshank always did. Growing up as a black kid, in an upper-middle class family, in an upper-middle class suburb in New Jersey, Sean was always caught between bounds, "too black for the white, too white for the black." Having parents from the Island of Spice, Grenada, furthered his sense of not quite belonging completely, while at the same time, "accepted."

After moving to NYC, Sean Cruickshank's sense of multiplicity consumed his life as he was bombarded by new sensations (wild sex, freedom from his rigid catholic high school/parents). Thus it was no surprise that the eclectic culture that is "The Big Apple," would ultimately combust within Sean Cruickshank as multiple streams of musical consciousness.

Finally, Sean made his way with his music to a city that encapsulates all of the above. Being totally uninhibited, free from chains, bound by none & nothing: Los Angeles. The land where 65-year-olds get implants and date 20-year-old men, and Marijuana is delivered in mini-vans.

What better place for Sean to finish his musical odyssey than a land free of pre-conceived notions. We already learned he broke the mold on what is defined as black, what is defined as being a good decent catholic boy(or catholic school girl, as in his song 'Not That Kind of Girl'). That same prismatic self that life's circumstances bestowed unto Sean, his immigrant heritage, to his sometimes 'urban,' sometimes 'ultra-chic' facets, he always weaved in and out of, manifested itself as the music laid before you today. One must ask: "Are you ready...?"
