Acoustic guitar, cello and vocals woven together around melodic and memorable original songs. Sean McCue was signed to Madonna's Maverick Recording Company with his alternative rock band Summercamp in the late 90s.

Biography

Sean was a founding member of Summercamp who landed a recording contract with Madonna’s Maverick Recording Company in 1996. He shared lead singer/songwriter/guitar duties with Tim Cullen. Summercamp released their debut album “Pure Juice” in 1997 and hit the US alternative charts with the song “Drawer.” Sean’s track “Should I Walk Away” became a no. 1 hit in Japan. Summercamp toured the United States, Europe and Japan extensively throughout 1997, playing the Fuji Rock Festival on the main stage with Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, Rage Against the Machine and other popular bands. Summercamp also played Lollapalooza, as well as toured with Tonic, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Third Eye Blind, Failure, and Poster Children, to name a few.

Sean has worked with producers Gil Norton (Pixies, Foo Fighters), Chris Sheldon (Feeder, Foo Fighters, Radiohead), Chris Shaw (Bob Dylan, Ween, Red Kross), Luke Ebbin (Bon Jovi, Rival Schools), and Ben Grosse (Danny Elfman, Marilyn Manson, Ben Folds, Sinéad O’Conner, Filter). His music has been featured on television with an on-screen appearance in the hit show Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and in film (Baseketball, Double Take).

For the last couple of years Sean has focused on a beautifully elemental way of getting his music across through acoustic guitar, cello and the voice.

Rescue

Written By: Sean McCue

Can you see me now
Hanging on by a thread
Are you coming to my rescue
Will you be the one to save me
Are you coming to my rescue
Are you

Can you hear me now
Hanging on by a thread
Are you coming to my rescue
Will you be the one to save me
Are you coming to my rescue
Are you

Are you gonna save me
Will you be there waiting

Are you coming to my rescue
Will you be the one to save me
Are you coming to my rescue
Will you be the one to break me
Are you coming to my rescue
Are you

Are you gonna save me
