Sean McGrath grew up in Edmonds, Washington, and started writing music at the age of 17. He taught himself to play guitar and ukulele, and performed in the Seattle folk scene as a solo act for five years before forming his backup band, the Imaginary Friends. Their music is " like lullabies for adults. Lyrics flowing along effortlessly amidst the rhythmic waves of melody" (Seattlest.com). They recently released their debut album on June of 2011.
