Biography

Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist/Producer/Engineer and founder of his own Record Label, Zig Records, Sean Ziegenhagen is a modern day Renaissance Man. A graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelors degree in Engineering Arts, Ziegenhagen is pursuing his music/recording career full time. At the age of 25, Ziegenhagen started his own Record Label and built a state of the art recording facility, where he is currently working on his debut solo CD on Zig Records. A fixture on the thriving Detroit music scene, where he has honed his skills as a singer/songwriter and performer, Sean Z is poised to take his unique blend of acoustic pop/rock to the national spotlight. Sean Z has performed at many local venues in Detroit including Fishbone’s Rhythm Kitchen Café, O’Toole’s, the Shelter, St. Andrew’s Hall, and 5th Avenue, and has appeared at several music festivals such as Pontiac’s Arts Beats and Eats, and Tastefest in Downtown Detroit. His music has been featured on 89X(88.7FM), the Planet(96.3FM), WPON Michigan Music 1460 AM, Grosse Pointe Cable TV, an WJR, The Mitch Albom Show. While Ziegenhagen calls Detroit his home, his constant touring has taken him to many U.S. music hot spots such as Chicago, Ill., Columbus, Ohio, NYC, and Phoenix, AZ. Though many have compared Sean to successful artists such as John Mayer, Elliot Smith, Smashing Pumpkins, and Radiohead, Sean’s command of his voice and the stage are second to none. Lyrics

Another Way

Written By: Sean Z

Take what you need
I can feel the enemy
It’s like a lie it’s a dream
And it’s nothing as it seems
I’m like a shadow of doubt
I’m frustrated I’m locked out
I write the words you will sing
But there’s nothing left

I tried to find out what was real
To figure out the way I feel
And my mind turns round and round
But this old maze won’t let me out
Gotta find another way

Look at you look at me
Is there nothing left to see
Did I push you away and is there Nothing left to say
I’m like a shadow of doubt
I’m frustrated I’m locked out
I write the words you will sing but There’s nothing left

Gotta find another way
Gotta find another way

Love Song

Written By: Sean Z

Understand I am willing
To believe this time again
Understand I understand
Then you lead me around again

So don’t turn away
I need you stay
I’ve cause this delay
And heard you say

Sing me a love song
Sing me a love song

Understand it’s not easy
To be leaving town again
Please don’t ask, I understand,
Raising all this doubt again

So don’t turn away (for another)
I need you stay (all I want to say)
I’ve cause this delay (for another)
And heard you say

Sing me a love song
Sing me a love song

Don't Bring Me Down

Written By: Sean Z

Here we are
In the same old place
With the same old face
But we don’t know who we are
Singing rock and roll
But you got no soul
Who you fooling

Running away
Nothing to say
We’re one in the same
But we don’t know who we are
Fading away
I’m leaving today
We’re one in the same

But everybody’s bringing me down
I’m looking around
Don’t hear a sound
And everyone’s leaving
I got my feet on the ground
So don’t bring me down today

Here we are
All the girl and boys
With the same old toys
But we don’t know who we are
Gonna get real high
In the big blue sky
Who you fooling

Don’t bring me down today
Don’t bring me down today
