Born out of the Vancouver "weird punk" scene, Search Parties have a rough edge while able to sing sweetly. Lyrics are very important to their music. Lines like.."The insane asylum nurse reads bedtime stories to her children about angels,"or "I guess people wish on stars because their so far away" give Search Parties integrity and the freedom to sound however they want, from 8 minute messes to 3 minute country songs.
