The vocal melodies are huge and infectious throughout, backed by guitar crunch and leads that overshadow anything on The Human Paradox. Being as Season Of Ghosts is Aslanides' baby, the songs are all vocal-centric and loaded with melody on par with Amaranthe's Elize Ryd or Within Temptation's Sharon den Adel. Stand-out tracks include the uptempo "Listen", "Almost Human", "A Place To Call Home" and 'How The Story Ends"... hell, 85% of this record is up-tempo, and the lack of a genuine ballad is refreshing. Gotta love Aslanides' vocal range and her head for harmonies, although it would have been nice to hear more of her lower register (which is the stuff of "read me the phone book" fantasies). If you're a fan of a band like Amaranthe, A Leap Of Faith is time well spent, and it may in fact be more appealing than the Swedes' new album, Helix, if you're looking for pop metal that doesn't rely on keyboards as a backbone. - Bravewords

"A Leap of Faith"

Though it took some time and Season of Ghosts had to surmount a few struggles along the way, A Leap of Faith emerges as a triumphant piece of modern metal. The band continues to walk in their own pathway with a combination of human and electronic elements that most bands have difficulty taming into a coherent piece. - Dead Rhetoric

"A Leap of Faith 2"

Musically this modern combination of metal and pop isn’t miles away from contemporary acts such as Amaranthe, Within Temptation and Epica, although the sound is a bit different. Sophia has somehow managed to take all these influences and create her own terrific music with those ingredients. - Roppongi Rocks

Season of Ghosts is a spiritually groundbreaking, intergalactic music project, dedicated to the love for the unseen and film soundtracks. Serving up a brash mix of guitar riffs, harsh electronics and powerful, compelling vocals, through the eerie spectrum of a Sci-Fi, horror movie, Season of Ghosts has received critical acclaim worldwide for its cross-genre sound and soul- awakening, motivational storytelling.

Conceived by Sophia Aslanides, in the heart of Tokyo and completed by Zombie Sam, drawing influences from Japanese, American and European heavy rock and metal,
the project came to life in 2013, releasing “THE HUMAN PARADOX” in 2014. Season Of Ghosts was definitely something different from the norm that spoke of huge potential, and the fanbase that followed Sophia in the aftermath of her split from Japanese trance metal act, Blood Stain Child, grew, finding deeper roots as time moved forward, thanks to the band's authentic connection to its audience, as well as its passionate performances.

In 2018 Season Of Ghosts created an unapologetic, cinematic album, entitled "A LEAP OF FAITH" that, according to Sophia, was "An honest, in-your-face, loud statement, a reminder to ourselves that we're still alive. A piece of our soul, raw, the way the universe whispered it to us.". The band, that is now based in London, U.K., has appeared at some of the most notable festivals, venues and comic conventions worldwide, alongside Therion, Xandria, Sirenia, Leaves' Eyes, Diabulus in Music, Yousei Teikoku and JUPITER, among others and is currently manifesting a third studio album.
