SEAWEEDHEAD is the work of Graeme Mick. Longtime owner and Producer for Greasers Palace recording studio in Victoria, B.C.
Having lived in Montreal for 2010 working for a brief stint assisting the legendary Van Dyke Parks he was inspired to fold his studio for the time being to explore in his own distinct way an area of music in which artists like Emitt Rhodes, Royal Trux and Sparks, all undeniable influences, overlap.
But the sound is distinctly his; sweet riffs sailing over a bits of chirping rhodes, hummable melodies, and lyrical hooks serve to underline the triple entendres, and comic subversion of social mores, in affectionate manner on
his debut record "Pleasure Yourself" for which he is currently planning a summer tour opening for asthmatic kitty's "Castanets"!
