Sebastian Demrey is a name to remember, as his tireless enthusiasm and passion for combining music with a powerful message will leave you wanting more. His debut album Searching (Cime Records) has something that will appeal to anyone and even the title is a universally relatable theme. Sebastian's own search led him on a musical journey across the globe where he picked up a variety of influences and styles along the way.

Searching is a thought provoking journey through a vast musical landscape leading you through an array of emotions delivered by Sebastian’s beautiful, soft yet soaring melodies. On this, his first all-English album, he truly embodies the art of songwriting and is inspired by relationships and his Montreal surroundings. “Writing songs is fairly new to me, but I loved the experience! I hope listeners connect with my music because it comes from real life stories; some are mine while others were written for or about friends. It’s also been a great experience in moving forward with an all-English record, as I’ve only ever worked with French music before. “
Before embarking on his solo career, Sebastian honed his craft for years producing albums for other artists through CIME Music (Maggie Blanchard, Tabitha Lemaire). Sebastian has additionally lent his vocals to 23 studio projects, and embarked on 14 international tours, taking him to France, Belgium, the West Indies, USA, Tahiti, Reunion, and Madagascar. “I learn so much from meeting and performing with musicians of different cultures and backgrounds. Traveling makes you look at your own life and its purpose from a different angle.”
Sebastian found his true calling early in life when at the age of 5 he joined a children’s choir. Music has constantly being a part of his childhood, his father being musician, church director and Studio Producer. As his love for music grew he expanded his range and discovered the piano and saxophone. Embraced by his local church, Sebastian has served as their Music Director from 1997 to 2003. Pursuing music further he studied classical and jazz at St-Laurent Music College in Montreal, which evidently led him to work in studio production.
Now, as a recording artist it is Sebastian Demrey's mission to share his music with the rest of the world. “I have the chance to be doing what I love, and at the same time getting to send a positive message out there. I’ll be doing this as long as I got a voice to sing and fingers to play. “
